Tunisia is Way More Than Just Beach Resorts 🇹🇳

- Tunisia is known for being famous beach holiday destination but there is so much more to this incredible country than just sitting around in a boring resort.
Today we're exploring Tabarka, a little coastal city the far Northwest corner of Tunisia pretty much at the border with Algeria.
We spent the morning in the small town Tunisian market streets and had a classic morning drink with the local lads.
Next we bought some fresh fish and had them grilled at the shop next door along with other classic Tunisian food & drink.
As we were walking around Tabarka we met some kind Tunisian lads who invited us to eat their lamb fish they had just bought, we tried fish liver and even some of Tunisia's beer and rose wine.
Our new Tunisian friends then decided to show us some of Northwest Tunisia's beauty so we jumped in the car and went for a drive. The driving round here is unreal, we checked out some viewpoints, had a look at the Tunisia-Algerian border, went to a village tea shop then went for a look at an absolute belter of a beach.
Tunisian people are class they proper look after you.
Tunisia is way more than just beach resorts! 🇹🇳

I have to add, the oil you found at the market is vegetable oil from algeria and it's cheap. Tunisia is known for premium quality olive oil (you can check Tunisia always wins best quality olive oil in every competition worldwide)

@@walopatr1573Djerba is a tourist trap and everyone who works there is from Zarzis. All the food is fake and overexpensive. The island is not walkable and any potential tourist can see that by simply opening Google Maps and selection satellite view... Whereas Zarzis is entirely walkable and doesn't have people driving like maniacs killing people (often getting away with it) on streets of which 90% have no sidewalk or crossings. Zarzis has many, MANY beaches, probably more than Djerba, or at least more that are natural and not polluted by mass tourism.
You sir, are a snob and a ta7an of the first order. Enjoy your artificial island with artificial people and artificial niceness.
As for the so-called "thugs street-harrassers" of which there are none in Djerba and of which Zarzis is full, as you've said so yourself, they're all in Europe. Next time you see a Akkeri working on your island doing the jobs you Djerbjans are too stupid/lazy for... Do me a favor and don't start pretending like you're a good guy. Don't be all smiles. i'm becoming kind of addicted to ur videos !! glad that u guys liked our country mate enjoyy ur trip and u should also try a proper home made couscous because we don't cook it the same in each region i think u only tried the sweet version, but there's a verion where we cook it with a tomato and hariisa sauce it's usually cooked with vegetables and meat also .

That helva drink is made of Fenugreek seeds they ground it mix it with water and probably some olive oil. It's not very commun to have around tunisia though. But it's good for the health.
