I just watched your video about your experience with chronic illness and my wife had an unknown, undiagnosed illness for like 4 years. We finally got some answers in the last year and a bit, but it's rough man. The interesting part of this is that I used to listen to your covers alot and they helped get me through that rough part of my life in a way. So, thank you. I had no idea, but I'm glad you're feeling better, chronic illness is torture on a person and their loved ones.

Holy shit dude. I've seen comments where you said it doesn't drive you crazy that people constantly compare your shit to Chris Cornell. Well, you're a saint then... because it's driving me fucking NUTS.
You're a really good singer, your shit's phenomenal... obviously, this is like the second or third comment I've left, so I'm binging through your stuff right now, as a testament to the fact that you're terrific, and that I enjoy your work.
You don't sound like Chris Cornell. When you sang "Like a Stone" you sounded a little like Chris Cornell... because you were singing his material and that tends to happen. Your voice feels familiar in a way that I can't put my finger on to throw out a name, but I've listened to like literally tens of thousands of singers and there are really only so many possible tones and styles. It's a good kind of familiar. Again, a good thing.
And more than that, I'm not one off those fanboys who rants and raves that "nobody will ever be Chris Cornell" because like... I don't really care about all that. I like his stuff, he's a great singer. I appreciate the hell out of the challenge of trying to sing some of his songs and what it brings out of me (and others) in the process.
But then again... if you go through the comments on virtually any punk band that's got videos on youtube, somebody's going to prance around in the comments and say, "OH WOW!! THIS SOUNDS LIKE GREEN DAY!!!" And everybody else involved leaves feeling dirty. Still, this would drive me nuts and you deal with it with a degree of poise and grace that's admirable.
