I still watch the old reruns every weekday morning on channel 29.2 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM and then I watch the Little House On The Prairie reruns every weekday morning from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on COZY TV.
He was backstage at a concert Waylon Jennings gave at the Universal City Amplitheatre in SoCal back in the 1980's. He was invited onto the stage during the concert to greet the audience. Got lots of applause, too. I believe that he played the role of that abused Texas Ranger (by Faye Dunaway"s Bonnie Parker) in Bonnie and Clyde (1968) as well as Doris Day's T.V. father in the 1969 or 1970 T.V. show, "The Doris Day Show". I don't really recall exactly the name of his character, but I think that it was something like, "Buck".
I love this episode and the song "Salty Dog" so cute!!! In other words "Let me be your salty dog, or I won't be your gal at all!!!! Honey let me be your salty dog!!!!!😀 LOL!!!!!! Peace out from Aretha White from Bunn NC!!!✌✌✌👋👋👋👋😉!!!!
@@Sunshine-zm1fx I *loved* the sketch Andy did with Ron Howard, reprising the roles of “Andy” and “Opie,” to promote Barack Obama’s campaign. Best President of my lifetime. 👍
Due to copyright issues many scenes and songs are cut from series. Distributors don't want to pay the necessary royalties and are happy damaging the production to save a few bucks. Some series have even resorted to replacing the entire opening theme music with some royalty free garbage.
Hi !!! I Am Abigail fan of Andy Griffith. It is on in our house every nite on TV land. LET ME BE YOUR SALTY DOGG! Nice intro for your new channel if it was on RUclips approved list! I subscribed to your channel here.
@@melodysledgister2468 While I wish all entertainers would be like Dolly who refuses to take a position saying it's not her place - hers is to entertain. That said, I still love Andy and Ron even though I didn't agree with their position.
Love blue grass
“Doggone, Sheriff, you sure can render.”😂
Always enjoyed when the Darlings came to town.
I'm 23 now but my father introduced me to this show when I was 10 and I have been hooked on this show ever since RIP Andy ❤️
Same for me and I’m the same age as you!
I'm 70 and I grew up watching this show when it first aired.

I always wished that I lived back in those days! Truly an iconic show! R.I.P. Andy ❤
Denver Pyle was and still is a legend. He could play any part. Mr.Darling and Uncle Jesse was two of the icons this man played as.
Plus the plethora of one off guest starring roles across all genres in TV and movies.🤓😎✌🏻
grizzly adams too

Don't forget Ernest T Bass.
Me too! Love The Darlings, and Ernest T Bass!
The Dillards. Amazing blue grass. I was young and dumb and was amazed to find out that this was a real band.... mostly. 😄
That wink from Charlene really did it for me, i laughed so hard!! ❤❤❤
"Charlene, I'm old enough to be your father." "You sure are beautiful preserved."
Those guys had a lot of talent
Love this song in 2023 from the 1980s!!🎉🎉
A flash from the past!
A truly great episode this was TV at it's very best
I'm 40, and I used to watch this with my grandpa!!
I never understood why Andy liked Helen Grump, especially when Charlene Darling was continuing to chase after him.
Right? Charlene seems fun as hell, and no way I'd turn down a younger mountain girl
And why did they give her character such an awful name?
Because Charlene was apparently too young
@@DulcimertunesI don’t think it’s such an awful name.
She's way too young and she got married to someone else after she changed her mind about him
He can play that Jug
I watched this with my dad when I was a teenager & still love it
The first song was "Cripple Creek". My grandson's favorite fiddle tune (that he plays). We will have a bluegrass band before I croak. :)
Banjo In The Holler. It's very similar to Cripple Creek, so I can understand the mistake.
I can git all kinds of sounds from this jug....
I love their version of Salty Dog. I wish they sang the entire song, though.
The good times are gone forever dam shame.
Oh...just to go back, even for 1 day😢🙏😔😔
Im 30yrs old and this show has been a huge part og my life. ABSOLUTELY LOVE this!
Sounds like what the scene will be outside of neyland stadium Saturday. Its alabama-tennessee week folks!
I love this music

it's pretty romantical....
I love listening to Great songs like is and I love it
Those fellas are actually called the Dillards. My dad grew up with them in Salem Missouri
Just simple and damn good!! Bring it back!!
That's one of the most fun songs I know. We had a different version but who knows how many versions there are.
Dang, that Charlene sure was a pretty gal ❤️
If I had been Andy I would have given serious thought to sparkin' that gal.
Mr Darling before Uncle Jesse 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
RIP Charlene...
I loved Andy Griffith! He was who he was, no frills, such a good man!
Until he kept endorsing Obama care and Obama
He was just a mindless illuminati puppet in the end.
@@Sceneyour Shut your filthy mouth. Especially in the days of covid.

she was so cute.
Awesome 👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👈👈👈👈👈👈👀
love him
Add these two songs to my tablet. please.
Let me be your salty dawg😊
Did the Dillard boys a real bluegrass band very talented
Rather a shame Maggie wasn't a regular with the Dillards on their regular tours.
Denver Pyle!
Dont forget Earnist T Bass

Correction on that song that’s not salty dog that’s Banjo In the Hollow. I have the Dillards album on iTunes iTunes.

Andy & Charlene would have made a great couple! Andy should have given her a chance.
Sheriff missed the boat. He should've snatched up Charlene. She was a cutie.
I miss the south California is the worst
Andy goin' get some.
Sittin’ by the river on an old oak log, what the hell is a salty dog?
Uncle Jessie. He claimed to serve in the Merchant Marines in WW2 but his claim was never verified and no record of his service existed.
Charlene would have been the best choice for Andy.
Always loved AG until he endorsed Obama and "Free" healthcare. They were able to manipulate the poor old man into alienating half of his fans.
What are you talking about
@@cardboardboxman6345 Mr. Phil is an obvious moron...
No, it's true. Andy Griffith and Ron Howard did a RUclips spot endorsing Obama for President in 2008. Look it up for yourself.
