He was backstage at a concert Waylon Jennings gave at the Universal City Amplitheatre in SoCal back in the 1980's. He was invited onto the stage during the concert to greet the audience. Got lots of applause, too. I believe that he played the role of that abused Texas Ranger (by Faye Dunaway"s Bonnie Parker) in Bonnie and Clyde (1968) as well as Doris Day's T.V. father in the 1969 or 1970 T.V. show, "The Doris Day Show". I don't really recall exactly the name of his character, but I think that it was something like, "Buck".

Due to copyright issues many scenes and songs are cut from series. Distributors don't want to pay the necessary royalties and are happy damaging the production to save a few bucks. Some series have even resorted to replacing the entire opening theme music with some royalty free garbage.
