    I have been out of training for awhile, but I have never seen these stretching techniques in the US, so I think I will try to implement some into my regimen. Maybe they will help my flexibility at 48!

    I started TKD at middle age and so bad can’t split the legs like them and my coach so kind she said it’s ok just practice more now almost two years I still can’t split 180• ... I feel so hopeless 😩 but I tried my best for all steps and patterns 😂 and happy every pattern I did good job (coach said)

      If Korean tkd is so much better then why does every single person I know who has trained there talks only about how bad it is? It’s all kids classes. American Taekwondo is advancing well beyond Korean TKD because of better training methodology. Also there is virtually no functional TKD left in Korea and all they have is demo teams, sport, and kids classes. I’ll take the Pepsi challenge any time, especially when it comes to functional self defense and real martial arts.

      @@DevilDogMartialArts- you are correct!!!! I spent a year in Korea and supplemented my martial arts with MMA and BJJ classes while I trained at a dojang for Taekwondo and earned my 4th dan there back in 2016. It is just kids classes and demo crap.

      You wont find a gym like this. Most TKD gyms in Korea are just as bad as USA with mcdojangs. This is a special and elite poomsae and demo training gym you won't be allowed to train in.

      @@AlexandreAtkinson I spent a year in Korea teaching English. I earned my 4th dan there and also earned my International Instructor's master license as well at the Kukkiwon. I even participated in the 2015 KTA Instructor's seminar at the Taekwondowon which was 2 days of courses and information. I was with a Korean master who had a gym and all of his students were kids only and he had no real equipment for serious combat training.
      Most TKD gyms are purely for children and school kids who want to do poomsae and demo practice. Not actual martial arts for self defense. There are also some sparring places but those are more rare.
      I had to supplement my Taekwondo with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA there at a gym. I was in Bucheon. I trained some Taekwondo just to get corrections on poomsae and things and have a way to earn my 4th dan from the Kukkiwon as well as train with Koreans in BJJ and MMA which actually was better for exercise and self defense. I competed in 2 BJJ tournaments in Korea too. It seems a lot of TKD masters in Korea are too arrogant to collaborate with other martial arts styles and are also insecure and do not want to train for serious fighting techniques. Just watch some videos on my channel. Search for Korea and Taekwondo and you will see stuff. I even taught some English Taekwondo classes there for children.

      Anatoly Ngo yeop chagi. This is just side splits tbh. Just practice balance, stretching and try to hold ur side kick for as long as possible and gain more muscles. It will help you.

    모래주머니 차고 발차기 하는것은 아니라고 생각됩니다.
    끈어치기가 대부분인 발차기에
    모래주머니까지 하고 같은파워로
    쓰면 나중에 애들 골병들어요...
    지도자님께서 잘 판단하실거라
    생각합니다.

      @찰싹 한 1시2시면 진짜 싸움나면 띠빼기고 놀땐 또 벌칙이면 벌칙이 팔굽혀펴기 20~30 못하는사람은 10개여서 다 찬성을해서 벌칙이 생겨났다고하고 1시부는 겁나빡샜는데 제가 시간이 없어 갔는데 벌칙수준이 완전 👍🏻 어리다고 안봐줘요 ㅋㅋㅋ 딴애들도 있었는데 애들도 걸려서 ㅋㅋ 같이 그냥 벌칙 걸린사람글 중앙에서 했고 안걸린사람 앞에서 재밌게 봤어요 특히 달리기할때 고깔 게임이 있었는데 고깔 쓰러트리면 팔굽혀펴기 5개씩 한 많이걸린사람이 8개 40개했던 그 오빠 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 완전 1시부는 장난 아니게 해서 다신 않간다 다짐 아 중1돼면 가야하는데 ㅠㅠ 2시부는 그나마 괜춘했어요

    한국무술로 전세계적으로 유명한 태권도가 이렇게 화려한 쇼형식의 보여주는것도 한종류고 더 발전하고 보완했으면 좋겠고, 반대로 일본의 극진가라데나 쿠도같이 실전성이 극대화된 태권도 유파들이 많아지고 연구되고 인기가 많아졌으면 좋겠습니다. 태권도계의 최영의가 언젠가 나와주길

    Some of those girls are doing some very impressive high kicks. I wish I could do as well. Stay with your training and find a boyfriend or husband to practice with. And stay fit and safe for life. With my best wishes, and on Sohyon's remembrance, kaiyah!
