Thank you for this! Very helpful! For those that follow, the link needs to be copied and pasted since YT has replaced it with a "void" link. Take a minute and read the docs about which Gotek hardware is preferred. You want the: Artery AT32F435 ARM Cortex-M4 MCU. I got mine at RabbitHoleComputing. And not all computers use a standard floppy cable, my IBM P70 uses a non-standard pinout and I will have to make an adapter for it. So be forewarned.

Maybe make image 000.img a blank image?
It would be no problem to make it a blank image. Of course you wouldn't be able to use it to boot from.

I recommend you check out github.com/keirf/flashfloppy. That gets a better more vesitile firmware onto the Gotek.
