      I agree, but after thinking about it more, I think they intentionally held back from going too far and showing too much craziness. Just like the 1978 version, they wanted to be more subtle in this one. That way they can up the intensity for a sequel. If they set the bar too high with action and epic moments, it gets harder and harder to top. Sometimes going back to the basics is a good thing. I think they pulled it off pretty well. I mean, people are clamoring for more Michael now, we got a "taste" of him in this film, we see a little of what he can do, we see how strong he is and he has a couple of badass moments. But we want more. And I think that's how you want audiences to think when having a sequel in mind.

      Nick P I loved the moment of him hiding in the dark. There was not enough of Michael stalking and hiding creepily like he usually is in the older movies. They showed Michael a bit too much and easily in the new one.

    This scene is perfectly shot and executed so well I literally got goosebumps when Michael walked up to the gate and then those sirens came in!I felt like I wanted to scream with Allyson,wish they replicated the exact scene from the 1978 version of Lauries chase sequence but like I understand they were trying to make it subtle and not too crazy because they didn't want to make it over the top.They played it safe and possibly will increase the intensity in the sequel that's if they make another one. But honestly I really wanted to see the movie twice just cause of this scene,it just makes me want more!

  • @projectpat8807
    @projectpat8807 6 лет назад +274

    I actually find this scarier/creepier than the actual main Halloween theme. But it sounds fitting for when Allyson is getting chased by Michael. Up until the point she runs into Michael, she doesn't believe Laurie (her grandmother) about Michael possibly returning. So it should be a very intense moment when she finally bumps into him. This music helps out with everything that is going on, especially with the character development for Allyson and finally believing Laurie.

    I don't get scared or tense from horror movies but this scene genuinely had me lurched forward in anticpation at the screen with my heart fucking racing. Being in the cinema made it all more amazing

    The second this song came on I was hooked. I always had some weird appreciation for soundtracks (blame band) and this one had me hyped for some reason.
    The soundtrack is probably what made this movie so good for me. I like need the score for this now 😂

    Love the original Halloween theme. But this one was the best of the series SINCE the original score. I remember hearing that in theaters and......

    This moment was masterful in the film. I haven't even seen the first halloween, but when I saw this scene, I imagined being inside her head. Imagine learning in one horrific moment, as you see the body of your friend impaled bloodily on a fence, that the bogeyman your grandmother spent 40 years obsessed with, the bogeyman your mother tried to shield you from, the creature you had finally come to believe was gone forever, APPEARS RIGHT THERE. OH FUCK, HE WAS REAL ALL ALONG.

    Besides the updated main theme, this is the moment in the movie where you know OG Michael Myers is back.

    Holy fucking cheeseballs. I love John Carpenter.
    I'm 6 ft. 3, 322 pounds! Wrestler and MMA background along with Football. And let me tell you something. This movie is intimidating and thrilling as hell. When Michael was at the fence, it sent chills all over my body. You could sense the horror, and felt it. This is a true horror flic. Much like the Original. You don't get these anymore. Brilliant job John.

    I like how in the movie, nobody knows what Michael actually looks like.
    For all anyone knows, the guy in the mask and jumpsuit could be a copycat, but the sinister aura Michael has around him let’s everyone know exactly who’s behind those eyeholes.

    I don't know but for some reason this scene screamed of Michelle true return. Maybe because now Laurie's family sees him for the first time and they know what he's about. When alison sees him and she just knows who he is. Amazing scene

    This was the most intense scene in my opinion. Just the whole 'family reunion ' shook me so far! it kinda reminded me of Michael chasing Laurie back in the original move and did danyone notice that Allyson outfit is kind of the same as Laurie outfit in the original movie.
