Hello everybody! I hope you're all doing well! ♥️
The other day I finally started to redraw this piece after months of procrastinating and honestly, I struggled quite a bit at the start with getting started and getting the pose to look like I pictured it, but in the end, I’m very pleased with the result! I also had a lot of fun chatting with you all on stream during the process of this piece, I'll be sure to do so more often!

I think Celestia's expression in this iteration is my favorite. While other versions just communicate sheer terror, here there's a greater sense of shock and confusion, as if Celestia is still trying to process what tf is happening to her...
Tia: W-Why Starlight..? Why..?
Starlight: well my dear princess everybody will bow to me once they know a simple unicorn like me can defeat a Celestial being like you and it'll be nice to have the sun princesses cutie mark in my cutie vault and I'll reinforce it so Twilight and her friends won't be able to destroy it again, I might even go after Princess Luna and then Princess Cadence and maybe even take on Twilight and her friends again.
"Starlight, what has gotten into you?" As she is struck by a primordial state of fear, agonizingly whimpering at the horrid feeling of her own blood, dripping from where her beautiful horn once was, now reduced to a mangled stump

The expressions in this iteration were the best! As another commenter said, Celestia looks confused and betrayed. And Starlight looks less unhinged and more darkly satisfied, as if she's savoring having finally, FINALLY gotten to this point. It's notable that she's also injured and bleeding from her nose: even caught off-guard, Celestia must have put up quite a fight, and it can't have been easy to get past the guards. She looks less hyper and manic, and more like she needs to catch her breath, adrenaline is the only thing that's keeping her going, and she's THIS close to absolute power. A caculating predator's gaze.

“Wh-Why…? Why must y-you… Do this?!”
Choked the alabaster alicorn of many millennia, as the assailant pressed a hard hoof onto her throat. She would’ve use her magic to easily pry her off. But she couldn’t as it was already cracked and broken, bleeding profusely.
The unicorn with beliefs of equality gave a wicked smile, as she cackled seeing her newest victim to torture croak in pain under her. She whispered ever so slightly with no hint of sanity.
“We’re all equal Celestia..~ It’s only fair that I take out the one ruining the perfect world I see desire for my equalized ponies..~ Your Princess days are over.~”
The Princess could only stare in fear at this dangerous unicorn under her rule, only to discover her violence due to her tragic belief that cutiemarks are blasphemy. She wished to help her see sooner that her beliefs of cutiemarks are wrong.. and prevent her from going this path of cold blooded murder.
(Anyone want to fill in the rest of the story here~? 😈, and lovely work as always Blits~ can’t wait to see more drawings~ 🧡💜🖤)

It all happened so fast.
Everything had been normal at the palace for a while. The sun rose, the moon set, ponies went about their normal everyday business. Twilight had sent a message to Celestia, telling her of a map that wanted them to fix a problem at a certain location. That was curious, but Celestia wasn’t worried about it. The 6 elements had defeated so much evil, she was confident that they could deal with whatever they found. That is, until they didn’t come back.
Celestia waited a week. And then another week. She was getting worried. She was almost about to send search parties when suddenly, the problem arrived in person.
Celestia had just raised the sun. She walked through her castle to the throne room, worrying about her student had the other elements the whole way there. She would have to send ponies to the location Twilight had mentioned, to check on them. Maybe everything was ok. Maybe the problem they were fixing was just taking an abnormally long time. Celestia had almost convinced herself when an explosion rang over Canterlot.
Immediately, the sun princess leaped into the air and winged her way towards the disturbance, trying to figure out what was going on. Another, larger blast sounded somewhere close by. Ponies in the street were fleeing in terror from a portion of the city that Celestia could see was engulfed in smoke. And all of a sudden, an ice-blue blur shot out of it and straight toward Celestia. Taken by surprise, Celestia just barely dodged to the side and spun around to face her opponent as she passed. It was a unicorn, with light purple fur, a dark purple and blue mane, and a strange ‘=‘ mark where her cutie mark should’ve been. Celestia took only a moment to consider the situation, but a second was too long. The other unicorn cast a magical smoke over the whole area. Celestia looked about wildly, trying to get her bearings. She flew towards what she thought to be the edge of the smoke. She strained to see something, anything ahead of her. And then she did. She saw a bolt of light streaking right towards her. She tried to swoop to the side, but this time she was too slow and everything went dark.
Celestia came to in a room. She jumped to her hooves, remembering the attack, and raced for the door. She jiggled the handle violently, but it was locked. She tried to use her magic to blast through, but her nothing happened. Her horn didn’t even light. Celestia tried again and again, but when she reached for her magic, she only felt a curious absence. Eventually, Celestia started pounding on the door as hard as she could, but it wouldn’t budge. She screamed at whoever was beyond the door, but no one appeared. After a while, Celestia sat back and cased the room. It was a simple gray room, carved from stone, with nothing in it at all but Celestia and the door. Until suddenly, the door opened.
Celestia jumped up and spun around to find the strange unicorn from the attack neatly closing the door behind her with her magic. The unicorn turned to Celestia and gave her a warm smile.
“Hello, Celestia. My name is Starlight.” Celestia rose to her full height, trying to maintain an air of regal importance. “What is going on??” Celestia demanded. “Why have you attacked the city?” Starlight only smiled wider. “For equality, of course. You alicorns really think you can just lock yourselves in your castles and palaces thinking you’re so much better then the rest of us? I think not.” Starlight magically summoned a chair and sat down in front of Celestia. Celestia was confused. Equality? Wasn’t being different what made all of them special? Celestia tried to contemplate this, but she was snapped back to reality by Starlight’s voice. “You see, cutie marks often do more harm than you think, creating power inequalities all over Equestria. I’m here to fix that. I’ve already removed your mark.” Celestia looked down at her flank. Her mark was gone, replaced by a simple equality symbol. “But,” Starlight continued, “There is still one more inequality to fix. We can’t just have you alicorns flying around with horns AND wings. That will have to be fixed.” Starlight summoned a simple case. Upon opening it, it was revealed to contain various knives and surgical tools. Celestia froze, staring at them. “Oh, don’t be scared, Celestia!” Starlight stood, lifting a knife from the case. “I’ve had practice. Luna has already gone back to being a unicorn. Cadence is a pegasus once more. And Twilight…” Starlight smirked. “We won’t go there.” Celestia backed up until she hit the wall, but the room wasn’t very big. There was no escape. “The real question,” mused Starlight, “is which I should take. Horn or wings? I’ve had to choose three times already so.. why don’t we have a little fun? You choose, Princess.” Celestia stared at Starlight in horror. Starlight stared back expectantly. A few seconds passed. “Come now, Celestia, I don’t have all day.” Starlight drawled. Celestia was scared, but a new emotion rose in her. Rage. How dare Starlight force this on her and on her sister and all of her subjects! Celestia narrowed her eyes. “I won’t have to choose.” She growled, reaching once more for her magic and glancing up at her horn. Starlight watched her with open curiosity. Celestia’s horn lit, for a brief moment… and then flickered and died. There was silence for a few moments. And then Starlight broke into a grin once more. “Great choice, Princess!” Starlight said exuberantly, hopping up from her chair. Celestia was confused for a moment, but then she realized. “Yes,” Starlight smiled devilishly, “I think we’ll remove your horn.” And then she leapt across the room towards Celestia. Celestia couldn’t even try to dodge as Starlight grabbed her with magic and hurled a blast at the princess’s horn. Celestia screamed as her horn was snapped in half and pieces of blood spattered bone clattered to the floor. Starlight casually reached out a hoof, pinning Celestia against the wall. “Don’t worry, Celestia!” Starlight said, grinning bloodily and raising a knife. “I’ll have the rest of it off in a jiffy!”

The look on both Starlight's and Celestia's face is phenomenally done, and I love the shading so much like dirnfntjt the muscle definition is insane!! This is is perfect, I've seen the last... What, three? And each one keeps getting better and better and this one is perfect!!

It takes a lot to strangle someone, even with both hands. The fact Starlight managed to do this with- not only one arm- but without hands at all. Hooves can be bone crushing and sharp, so it's no surprise (to me anyway) that she managed to do this. Also considering Princess Celestia's horn is broken, the magic she'd produce would be little to none, and would take most of her strength. She isn't known to combat in battle, so it would be quite easy for her to get her surrendering. She does fight for her life, but she looks in disbelief that Starlight could ever do this. It looked like an ambush, something she didn't expect and an attack that happened so quickly. Strangling someone takes a good while, but again, considering hooves are so strong and sharp, it could've been a relatively quick but much more painful death for Celestia.
How? How do you keep making it better? I mean... What the freak how?!
I honestly didn't realize how much you improved until seeing the direct comparison between the finished results... Holy shit.
You're so talented and amazing and I truly genuinely hope that one day, with enough practice, I'll come maybe somewhat close to the incredible skill in anatomy and composition and definition created by shading and literally everything you possess. Thanks for creating and sharing, your art is truly inspiring

Celestia looked to the ground seeing the top of her horn on the ground she was in shock, her day had been going fine.
Starlight pressed her hoof harder into Celestias throat "Equality will stand cutimarks are the problem." She growled out watching life slowly leave Celestias eyes.
"No cutimarks are not the problem...." The princess croaked out she wanted to get the pony off her but feared hurting her in the process. Her tears turned red from the blood of her horn her magic was failing her
This is amazing blits! It's amazing how much you improved in the past 6 years. The art is also very realistic, and again, you improved so much! This one is honestly the best one you made, it's absolutely breathtaking!

It's incredible how much you've improved. I remember when the speedpaint for the third iteration came out and I thought it couldn't get any better, and now I'm comparing it to the new one and it's like night and day. You just keep outdoing yourself!

This one is quite unique compared to the others, instead of just concept of someone being brutally murdered, this one brings more on a personal level and actually intended. Especially on how Starlight has a huge grin slapped on her face gazing upon her near success of killing Cels (yet she is still trying to figure out why Starlight is targeting her) and how she wants "Equality" distributed between the ponies.

"You say all ponies are created equal," Starlight growls out with a wicked smile adorning her lips, pressing her hoof harder into Celestia's neck, "Yet, you stood above us all, watching us from afar and giving us with what you called 'cutiemarks' to keep us divided. There was nothing 'cute' about them."
"Starlight, please-" the former princess began, only to let out a choked cough as Starlight pressed her hoof down harder.
"Look at you, begging. Oh, how the mighty have fallen," Starlight laughs out, baring her teeth as her smile widens. "You won't be ruling us any longer, and with you out of our way, we will finally fall into a world of *true* equality. Don't feel too bad, *Celestia*," Starlight spits her name out as if it burned her tongue like acid just to say, "All monarchs fall eventually."
I seen the first one seven years ago and the other iterations of the original.

Do alicorns and unicorns really bleed from breaking their horn?
Because when Tempest Shadow's got broken she wasn't bleeding..or at leat they didn't show that because show's made for kids.
Don't mind me I don't know as well if they do or not.
Yep they do. The crystal used to glow magic on their horns has some parts that connects it to their head. So yes there's blood inside the horn
