    any water crossings like that, I just bear right so that my airbox is higher up. Never take a center line in a puddle you don't know how deep, glad the bronco is good!

    The badlands might have drain floors but its mostly just for the footwells. Wait until he sees how much water and mud is underneath all plastic interior panels, lol.

      Yeah I know, not to much water had gone into the Bronco though and so far no musty smells inside so I think we might be good lol

      @@outlandishoverland I know and I am going to do so many upgrades before it's first true adventure. Number one and first on the list is the tie rods. It's just kinda sad they stopped production and any new orders of the Everglades for 2023. Who knows what the future for that model in 2024.

    You might want to check the front and rear differential fluids, because the breathers were likely submerged.

    • @outlandishoverland
      @outlandishoverland  Год назад +4

      Front differential fluid is on the back end of the engine right next to the transmission breather, we are changing the transmission fluid this week to check and see. The rear is fine because the breather is where the gas door is at, the water didn't get that high on the rear end, so we are for sure good on the rear.

    • @outlandishoverland
      @outlandishoverland  Год назад +1

      @Legos37 It lived, the front diff, trans and engine oil were contaminated. The engine oil we changed right there on the trail, but it is still kicking.

      @Legos37 Absolutely we just didn't realize how deep this hole was it looked very deceiving.

    Did the same thing with my Bronco but even slightly deeper. Had to get a whole new engine and drivetrain through insurance claim. $1,000 deductible $16,000 worth of work. But she's back and better than ever.

    Not meant as a dig, but I've been at Citrus and these videos don't do some of these obstacles justice as they are much hairier looking in-person then they look on camera. Also, you don't get the sense of what the driver sees (or doesn't see).

    • @outlandishoverland
      @outlandishoverland  Год назад

      Absolutely, the majority of offroad obstacles the camera makes it way less serious than it actual is.

      I would say that with majority of vehicles. Most people barely change their oils or even do your basic maintenance.
