8 Mile DH | RAW POV | Mt Shasta

- Take a rip down the classic "8 mile" downhill trail in Mount Shasta, California. This trail is part of a vast trail network that spans throughout the forest off the Everrett Memorial Highway.
Loading Strava or Trailforks in the area will help direct you to this, and many other, trails in the area.
I highly recommend Shasta Gravity Adventures as they offer a shuttle service to the new flow trail "Bear Springs" from the "10 Gallon" trail start point.
A truly beautiful area that is amazing to go camp, ride and enjoy!
Special thanks to Trail Labs for the amazing work they put in to get these trails up to par with some of the best in the country!
FYI, the trial you've posted, 8 Mile, is a non sanctioned trail that WAS NOT built by Trail Lab. You should refer to the new USFS sanctioned trails, built by Trail Lab, such as 10 Gallon, Cub Creek, Bear Springs to MX. Those trails are fast, flowy, and can be shuttled with Shasta Gravity. Thank you for riding in Mt. Shasta.
I know, trail labs does the maintenance on it occasionally I did not say they built it. They did build the new jump line this trail will feed into

What’s the name of that on Strava or Trailforks?
It’s not on Trailforks or Strava. It starts in to the right of the gully on the road you guys ended at in the video, below the large boulder on the other side of the road.

You should check it out. It’s like 4 mile for the first bit and then you go into the gully (at a road) and into some slick rock type stuff and slabs. It ends on Gateway.
@@sethbleazard173 we were talking about hitting but had 17 in our group and some beginners so we thought it best to avoid the new line as the last run of the day…that’s always when the reaper comes out to get you ☠️

Does the old OG line keep going straight still where y’all dipped out left? Crosses the road further down and then rock roll into the fun weird lava style zone all the way down? It’s been like over 10 years since I rode it. Was there a couple weeks ago shredding A new entrance and middle section which was way rad! Just curious if the OG is still running
OG should still be running just not sure if it’s been touched up and cleared
