Even in the heat of battle, Harper shows proper respect in a Catholic church. That's soldiering.

I noticed that in the TV series Viviar seems almost like a weaker character than in the books, because when he kills his brother in the books he screams out in triumph.

How does that make him seem weaker ?

In this case I think it was a better fit. The way in which their story was told and the fight carried out (and where it was staged) made this ending fit better than the idea that one revelled in the killing of the other.

Exactly it feels more real I guess I mean the way vivar says brother as he dies adds a lot of weight and emotion I think

Screaming in triumph after killing a relative, even for betrayal, that's definitely not soldiering. Killing a relative for betrayal but remembering that he's a relative and accomplishing his last will, that's soldiering.

So the fate of the Peninsula campaign depended on like 8 Spanish/British guys beating up 10 French guys and some old British man looking at it all while the hero kissed the Spanish leader and then insulted the name of the whatever flag they flew?
