What do you like about hardtails?
EVERYTHING.
Stumbled across this bike by accident looking up bike review videos, now I'm obsessed haha. Great video! Seriously really considering this bike. Coming off of a 2006 Norco Bigfoot, I'm sure this will be quite the upgrade 😂
I’m sure it will. Thanks for the comment, it’s a great rig!
i know this comment was a year ago, but i love mine lol! totally worth it
I just really like the stance.
That’s sick, looking forward to some clips of you riding it
Thank you! Stoked to spend some time on it
@@harryfetter how do you feel about the climbing performance on this bike compared to a full sussy
so much better! it accelerates up climbs so quickly
Hey man nice reveiw! does this bike feel playful? (does it manuel and bunny hop easy)
Yes! Super playful and fun for manuals and wheelies
Hello, I assume that's a large by the 29 wheels (?) Also 5 11 so inbetween sizes - what's your inside leg measurement?
You’re correct that is a large. I am between sizes but like a longer reach. Not sure what my inside leg measurement is
How much travel does that fox has?
150mm
Sweet bike!! What’s the color?
Magnetic grey I beleive
Really no reason to get anything higher spec than this version of the meta. Is the ohlins much better? I own the ohlins.
How do you like the Ohlins version?
@@MrWolf2212 it’s alright. I like the GX eagle and the brakes. The fork is alright kind I am still working on the settings. The seat is horrible, seat post only okay, wheels are just okay. Mullet small is fun to play around on I wish it just came in a full 29
@@yamahschector if you had to do it all over would you buy this bike again or something else ??
@@MrWolf2212 something else. I do not ride as aggressive as I use to due to less free time on the bike and not in shape like I use to be. I am more about getting a good trail ride in with more distance and having playful fun downhill. I would have gone with a yeti arc or similar bike. Right now I have a used banshee paradox in the garage I am rebuilding slowly to try out and if I do not like that I am going with a yeti arc. The ohlins meta to me seems like a beautiful hardtail for the big rough rides. I am wanting to get the meta on the chairlifts where I believe it will be a darn fun bike. The seat sucks more than any other part on the bike or maybe any seat ever in my 20 years on a mountain bike. The seat is uncomfortable and squeaks and creaks and that has never been a thing for me ever. It took me some time to get use to the meta because the size and I am short 5’4-5” I bought a small. Now that I am use to it I can play around on the bike and it kind of feels like I could have tried out a medium just to see how I fit. I often wonder if a full 29” would be better than the mixed wheel it came with. Now that it’s in the garage I am keeping it because it is the rowdy bike that has a place. This bike is fun overall great and a must have if you ride fast rough and like the big hardtail for the downhill rough trail days. There is a video out there where the mega is used on the psychosis downhill race where you can see how roust the bike can get.
@@yamahschector YETI ARC is a beautiful bike and very light, but it costs top dollar. I might just get a Roscoe 9 or Chameleon. Both of them are good enough for the trails that I go to.
Model - Race ?
Yes!
This bike It's a bit heavy, someone answer me plz
It’s a bit heavy?
@@harryfetter I mean that the typical weight of the hard tail is from 13 to 13.7 kilos, and this one weighs 14.2 kilos. Isn't it rather heavy or is it something normal ?
@@maximusbarka7833 I do not think it feels that heavy
That’s why I chose sentier vrx with weight ~12.3kg
