They stay put! Somehow the plastic has enough friction to stay on, but that said, sometimes dust does stick to it and it may end up sliding out. You can just give it a wipe and it'll be good as new.

I really love this bag but not ready to buy it. I hope they fix the issue themselves especially regarding the price they ask for it. But I found your idea genius 🫶

You could probably find the file easily at a local stationery store. As for the trim, try and hit up a specialised craft store.

Ahhh I wish I had made it earlier too! I didn't manage to get the Chanel 22 until last December. :( Was yours a coated leather version?

If this is an acute problem, why can't chanel make adjustments on the design? Especially if it's an expensive bag.
I mean it's just the way friction, and wear and tear works.

I honestly don't think they will fix it. People are buying the bag regardless. The best thing is to find a solution on our own.
