HolyBroly is great, after seeing him on your stream I hopped over to his and he answered abunch of questions and gave me tips and stuff. That and just watching his gameplay completely turned around my Crusader gameplay and winrate, turns out knowing how best to convert off of normals and learning previously unknown mechanics (like the 4MS specials while buffed use up the buff so you avoid the stun animation when it ends) are really helpful. A big thing that Max was getting hit by a lot, after Crusader's light combo or something like that gets blocked, don't go immediately into the wall but delay it just a bit, so your opponent thinks they can move forward and then they get hit by the delayed wall. I'd say Crusader's biggest weaknesses are not having the fastest buttons, so he can be overwhelmed in the corner (assuming you're prepared for the reversal since his is super good) and a well timed roll around his big swings can get you in fairly easily, and he's also very MP hungry (granted I've not been using the motion inputs to facilitate faster MP regen but even then I think it'd still be an issue).
@@basanova22 Nah I asked him that, it was because of Crusader. He said he saw people in the DBFZ scene calling him that or something, so that's where he got the name from.
I think the biggest weakness of crusader would be rush down characters. I fought alot of female fighter but once you understand the timing you can beat her but ghostblade or dragon knight alost impossible to win
This was some good info, thanks for that! I've strayed away from the buff to avoid the stun state so I will certainly try adding that into my gameplay when I see openings. I can definitely say that motion inputs helps a lot for saving MP on combos. Each wall (I've been calling it the Walls of Jericho) costs 50 MP, if you do the motion your MP will start recovering right after the first hit after using it, just enough to prevent two walls in one early combo to cause MP exhaustion. For an MP-reliant character, 2 MP is more then enough to keep your MS button on the table. Once you learn to use motions and keep you MP use in check, his primary weakness is rushdown. With decently slow buttons, his only real answers at close range are 2A, grab, 2MS, or blocking something and doing Guard Cancel for 100MP. Guard Cancel helps since it will return to neutral where Crusader wants to be, just another reason to use motions and keep your MP use in check. His other real weakness is armor moves, primarily from 2MS Reversals, counters, or any of Grappler's charged skills. Crusader needs to be able to dominate the field with big normals, and these moves can negate that entirely, requiring a more slower and methodical approach you may not be used to with this character. Also as a small mention: In most cases you should try to land your AS (Super) as soon as it's available. While doing so will lose your defensive Awakening buffs, time passes while an AS is going off. This means if it doesn't kill, after it's over you'll be back to 200MP and you'll have recovered any white damage you had. This of course works for all characters, but MP-reliant characters like Crusader appreciate this the most, and if the opponent isn't fully aware you can catch them with the Walls of Jericho right after the AS ends and just get another combo which will likely kill. It's a knowledge check worth utilizing, and if they start passing this check you can use that time to set something else up instead, nothing wrong with Crusader resetting back to neutral.

lol that intro
Is it just me or does Ghostblade really deal very little damage?
His mixups are pretty insane as well as his attack speed, low damage on him make sense
@@NovaSniper12 I mean, I guess.
Was just that Max was doing like 11 hit combos and Crusader outdamaging him with just 2 hits (while some of his attacks seem to be even faster that Ghostblades)
