I really like your explanation. I was looking for something like this to create a "Fair Ticket" that has the recycle paper effect.
I'm trying to create a A3 paper texture but the effect is too small. I moved arroudn the filters to see if the effect is more notizable but I can't get the same effect. What should I do? THank you

I followed this tutorial, but there doesn't seem to be any change to my shape. When I pull up the filter layer, I see the texture applied, but not in my normal artboard window. Any suggestions?

how do I change the color of the "relief" texture? For example, the paper texture color is greyish but I want the texture to look red.

hey I've made a logo on illustrator and I would love to give it this paper texture, I copy and pasted it on a seperate layer between the paper textures (the way you did with the text) but it didn't work :( I was just wondering if u knew a way to do this? thanks!

Such a helpful video! However, what would I do to make this an overlay? So I could apply it to my entire graphic? I’m building a portfolio to apply to my local architecture school and I have all of these geometric perspectives that I want to apply this kind of texture to. What should I do?
Making the texture background white and then using the multiply blend mode should do the trick
if i add filter gallery, previous color overlay effect disappears. i guess its because i converted to a new object blah blah when i clicked filter gallery, but there's no way without clicking it. How can i fix this?
You’ve got to convert to a new smart object before you apply the color overlay and filter gallery

You need to be in 8-bit mode. To go into 8-bit you simply press Image->Mode->select 8bit
