A great movie. It did have too many ad's, but it was still worth watching. It's a pity when some youngster decides to sell out by running so many ads just to make a few extra dollars instead of displaying an amount of integrity by showing a wonderful old film with more idealism, realism, and integrity than themselves. The paper didn't sell out but the person running this film did. Even though it was overloaded with ads, thanks for showing it. I guess if you get more money from advertisers you can afford to stay home & sit on your butt instead of having a real job.
What brilliant input about the movie. I would expect some moron to say nothing more than what time of day & what day it is & then move on without saying anything else. Thank you all four of you, for letting us know what day & time you watched this movie. My life is full now.
Excellent print copy, good upload, even if what was hard hitting in 1952 pales in the face of 21st Century realities (the film's pov is childlike, but it's all they could do back in the day). Fine Bogart. Wish he'd had the kind of truthful material he had in The Harder They Fall and Treasure of the Sierra Madre in all of his films - he could have handled it - but his magic is unabated here. Some queasiness over the relationship with ex-wife Kim Hunter, but she's grounded and clear. The Battle Hymn of the Republic is a bit much.
What a smashing film, thank you for sharing it with us.

Double commercials every five minutes -- UNWATCHABLE.
I hear you. It discourages me, too, to continue no matter how interesting the movie. Very annoying.
Martin gabel ( husband of arlene frances of what's my line the show starring richard daley.) Sure is a hardcore in this movie. He is playing rienzi!
John Charles Daly
Bogart looks quite fit in this movie. Waiting to see if he smokes a cigarette. 😅
