I like his style of working with his students. No ego. He works with the guy and doesn't bust him up and bend the elbow right back like I've seen in other videos. It makes the pushing hands interesting and fun, and that's how you learn to relax.
He is one of the best yes, i had the pleasure of meeting him in Beijing together with Master Jennifer Lee, we spent a great day together and we were invited to his class and see some of his great great abilities. I remember one foreign student saying:" When you doing serious Pushhands with him and you touch his chest, its like putting your hand into a gearbox."
He is one of the very top Tai Chi masters. Only those who have played with him would know. You can't tell much from just looking at a video, you have to feel it.
Lol at the trolls. If you know anything at all about taiji you know he's not even trying. He will throw you as if you are a small child. He could probably easily shatter your collar bone with a shoulder strike if you got close enough. Guarantee he will make you feel silly the second you engage the man. Very valuable video for anyone who practices this, thx!
Trolls require that personal touch. You know the one. So do I. If you get it one time you will never forget it. And it has proven a valuable training inspiration for me. Even thirty five years later. Teacher always said."perseverance furthers". Peacei.
this is amazing and rare footage of taijiquan master giving an incredible demonstration of very controlled and powerful fajin and neutralization in push hands.
@neijiachuan master feng is awesome i have met him on a visit to beijing with master fei bing a past student of his was very impressed with his speed when i tried to push him
you can see he is emitting his jing in a controlled manner very solid stance I always say to people that I teach build up a strong root through correct practice of tai chi and you'll be amazed at what you can do I asked my teacher what the secret was and was basically told in halting english there was none just dilligent practice
I recognise what you are saying, but surely that all depends on you - like, I don't know what level you are at, so I don't know what 'power' means to you. If you're not personally powerful, you might be easily impressed.
its not, nor meant to be! ...it is just a poor translation for "real applications"....the GM is doing demonstrations of the application techniques within various forms.
Feng is a true master...I saw him uproot people with magnetic Qi power!! (w/o hands...real sh_t!! - plus carefully look at his body roundness..it is not in the waist area, but actually closer to his mid dantian, not lower dantian.
One of two famous master students of Chen Fake in Beijing China. The oh other being Hongjunsheng.A very simple but knowledgeable Grandmaster who lived a Daoist life style. He studied with Master Fake for Fourteen years, daily in Beijing
Fat? This guy's not fat, and I don't believe that iron shirt or chi has anything to do with it as I have seen plenty of thin internal practioners. No, the reason why he isn't trim and slim is because he's obviously middle aged. I wouldn't say he's fat though.

Man, I love grandmaster Feng, makes it look so easy, like he's bored, haha.
there has been a very good vid of feng zhi qiang on the ba fa of taijiquan. it is gone. does anybody know why, or where to get it?
lu baochun with feng zhiqiang ?
Chen Style Taichi great master
Yes, all good and well but what is the function of the woman standing in the right side of the image.. is she just public?
As you can see by the flags in the background, this was an exchange between Japan and China and she’s a translator.
i'm a skeptic of a lot of martial arts, as i don't seem them applied in practical realistic scenarios (perish the thought).
amazing!! just amazing!!!
The meaning of REAL FIGHT has been forgotten...
one of the best!
Awesome video of Master Feng. Thank you!
very good
did u see 06.27....wow...that guy flew out....just like earlier during the start of the video... cool
it is not fat, it is the result of Qigong and Iron Shirt/Zhan Zhuang training, the body is filled with Qi
easy with a compliant student the teacher should try a professional wrestler
Superb

How is this a 'real fight'?

When there is no conflict the dao creates harmony. So a fight turns into peaceful exchange ...

Just a little though big though?😮
Nice demo, not a real fight. So how to judge, what does this video tell you?
It tells me that he can generate a lot of power. It isn't a demonstration of technique or fighting ability.
meh
this is nonsense.
