The album “The Impossibility of Reason” was my official 2003 soundtrack
Rob Arnold is the mind behind the riff of this mega hyper genius band.
Such an underrated band. That album was super popular in the Metal charts in Germany when it came out... I instantly bought it. You should check out "Inside the Horror", "Salvation" and "Lazarus" - the best songs from that album, imho.
One of my favorite bands here. Had the luxury of playing with them a few times in our local Cleveland Metal scene here back in the late 90s and early 2000’s before they were signed to Roadrunner. Some great musicians and bands from those times. The good old days right there!
Holy Shit! A Chimaira reaction! Used to enjoy this band a lot.
These guys are OG's of metalcore!
groove/thrash metal *
yeeeeeeeeesssssssssssss chimaira was so good i miss them, was gonna comment to react to them, need to react to them more
Noooooo Never react to the video version of this song. I don’t know why they did it back in the day but the cut the song short. The Album version is way better.
Edit: Well, I got offended by „dad rock“. This song was from 2005 btw and they were really big with the resurrection album which came out 2007. I still think it’s great music. They were my favorite band around 07/08 when I was 16-17. Maybe it is nostalgia, but I think songs like Salvation, Nothing Remains, Resurrection or The Flame are a few of the best metal songs of that decade. And even today I miss some of the elements that made chimaira great (riffs, heaviness).
its because of roadruuner records at the time. they did the same thing with opeth and dream theater. bands with songs 5 mins or longer gets heavily edited.
Well i'm only 30yo man and really-really-really dislike modern or new age/generation metal(core) or whatever it is, don't care. And I'm still stuck on 2012 or earlier stuff/bands... Prefer to listen "dad rock" instead of 50 new bands that sounds the same - djenty/progy with ambient sounds here and there or everywhere, like i'm listening metal covers of Hans Zimmer's soundtracks.
It's not just them. Most metal song videos are garbage and completely disregard the lyrics and theme of the song
Never heard such disrespect for Chimaria. Thought you guys would respect them.
agreed !
Such a Great song! The album version is better they cut it down for the video but I understand you had to do the video version for the reaction but love chimaira! Rob has a great channel on RUclips and mark does twitch streams so I love checking into to see what they are up to these days!
More metal musicians Twitch streaming? Awesome!
Chimaira was the band I started screaming to and did my first steps to find my voice. Damn long time ago 🙈
the riffs from this band are insane. Very underappreciated gem of a band
One of my fav bands of all time must of seen them over 20 times !!! Love them and miss them ❤🤘🤘🏴
Pure hatred is my favourite from these guys. I love them so much still listen to this day regularly
What a classic!!!
One of my favorite bands!
You should react to The Flame by Chimaira
I'm just happy looking at all the comments from people that love Chimaira as much as I did. I found them "stealing" music on winmx and limewire back when I was like 15-16. Their older stuff is by far their best works. Painting the white to grey, Pass out of existence, Jade, Sphere. Some of the ep versions of the tracks were different and made the difference. I know they had a few different versions of some of their songs and I like the rough raw cuts.r
what you guys been listening?i hope its bring me the horizon
I’m late to the party on this reaction, but you gotta check out some of their more proggy songs. Nothing remains is fine and all but it’s more of their big hit and to me it doesn’t stand out in their discography. Impossibility of reason (the song) is a journey and six is amazing. Both longer songs that really showcase the bands talents.
Ewww. Dirty video edit. Cuts bars of nice riffs down and changes the flow of the track.
Yeah they definitely cut the song down a lot. I hate it when they do that for a music video.
Watch and learn my friends Cleveland's finest
I'll subscribe if you do more of this band! Reason is this band got me into metal, also each album is a wee bit different then the last and in good ways! Implements of destruction is a phenomenal instrumental song, also mark hunter (lead singer) kept evolving with his vocals, I feel for Mark as the band ended due to his mental health! So shout out to ppl with that disease! I go through it time and time every now and then! I think he does photography now!
Whoa these guys act like they can do better....
Dudes, you should react to Chimaira's Power Trip, I think is sicker than this song.
Parties w them and mushroom head for years I was 12 13 years old fucking shit up on the metal scene
Rob Arnold shredding
Chimaira had a couple album run where they could do no wrong.
Chimaira!!!!!
Haven’t heard Mark Hunter in a minute
"it's bland " ..lol .coming from the guys who makes the most boring and generic uninspired metalcore
Power trip is banga.
Yo I haven't seen or heard that name in years! Lol! My brother and I used to jam the hell out these guys. They broke up in 2014, their last was released in 2013. React to Bodysnatchers-Take Me To Hell! Banger!
One of my all-time favorite bands. Back in 2003, I saw them headline over (in descending order) Soilwork, Bleeding Through and As I Lay Dying. Different times.
It's definitely more of a dry sound than today's metal, as the simplistic nature of Nu Metal definitely bled into a lot of the thrashier metalcore back then. Hell, Chimaira's debut album in 2001 was more Nu Metal than anything else.
I personally never understood the hype for this particular song, one of the weakest on the album in my opinion.
joose yes started with a nu metal album but they were never thrash metal or metalcore they are groove metal they kept groove metal going on after Pantera went
Follows The channel Rob Arnold Ist a writting Guitarrist riffs he slay The guitar chimaira Ist ma Favorite band so far ..
Would love to see a reaction to UNI/VS - Hellhound, would bet my left nut Adam will love it!
Enjoyed the thoughts at the end! I was pretty into Chimaira, both because I just loved the riffs and also as an Ohio boy. I think "Nothing Remains" is one of the weaker songs overall. I was more into like... "Empire", "Six", "The Venom Inside" which was just more punchy riffs and less "by the numbers" type of metal. Definitely not something that everyone would enjoy tho!
venom inside is so good, their whole self titled album i think is still my favorite one out of them
Man it's not fair to say this and I know it, because any band worth their salt should stand up to any song, that said, anyone who hasn't heard Everything You Love by Chimaira, is really not getting what's best from this band. Just my thoughts and thanks for the video
Chimaira is ''bland'' ...are you guys high or something ?
I wouldn’t consider Chimaira dad rock.Dad rock is bands like Shinedown,Nickelback,5fdp,Buckcherry etc.Chimaira falls more in line with bands like Shadows Fall,God Forbid,Lamb of God.
No longer together for years now
Lmao! Metal elitism at its worst. This band paved the way for yours and many other bands, you’re also too arrogant to even mention the excellent musical chops these guys have. If that’s your band in the intro, gimme Chimaira any day of the week...
Chops < good songs. Some of the best players in the world can’t write for shit.
2 bad you listened to radio edit version. Album version is way better.

Resurrection was a much better album than Nothing Remains.
Should have listen to the original song instead of music video
This is not a great representation song for chimaira. impossibility of reason title track. Let go from pass out of existence. Disappearing sun. Nothing remains is a bland song from chimaira.. their are better songs even on that album. Nothing remains is most of the reactions for Chimaira on RUclips. kind of a bummer
Ugh, don't listen to the edited version.
Resurrection and The Infection are by far and away their best albums.
This request was a waste
Not a fan of this at all. Sounds like they are stuck in the 80's. I found this extremely boring
This song is average compared to the later albums
cool story, not
This is an OLDIE! Guys, I've got a couple of very little known/new bands for you to check, Dal Av - Into The Fray or HRFTR - any song (Prey is their latest), they need some love, please!
