If he did the debate in which he asked CNN to be included and even got a petition signed with well over 100k people that wanted him on there. He would’ve took over the whole debate. I will say this highly constrained format which was supposed to help Joe actually helped trump more. Kept him focused and prevented him from just rude shit talking. I’d say maybe in some cases where if the mom is in an accident and the baby is going to be born with brain damage, abortion should maybe be an option to parents… some people don’t got the responsibility or the money to take care of a kid with severe brain damage.

Abortion should be a federal issue. Its two competing freedoms and a line of liberty has to be drawn. Historically, these sort of positions are done by the federal level.

The local votes for what they want in their town, not by some people that lives thousands of miles away. Certain states are more liberal/conservative than others and so their values need to be respected. Hence the state should be the one upholding and perform their peoples choice. Since abortion is question of life vs bodily autonomy, it is an issue of conflicting freedoms, so liberty. Therefore its a matter of federal. Just like we do not say, "Like slavery? Go live in a state with slavery," as it again is a matter of liberty. Another way to analyze it is in the area of positive vs negative rights, where negative rights is under the perview of federal and positive for the states.
