    Found this quite by accident, looking for versions of this song & sent it to my son, Ben, who is a reenactor & fiddle&banjo player as well. I think you guys may know each other.
    I really love this, but where's the rest of the song....? I need the whole thing! Other than that, PERFECT!

    This is great .. Nice job Jake .. I just tried this in Double C because it fit my old voice better and I played it very slowly . All the best . Guy

    Hi Jake,
    what are you tuned to here? The closest I could get on my banjo when I was listening to the recording was double c capoed at the first fret and the fifth string tuned up to G#, but you're obviously doing something different here, yes?

      Im pretty sure he's tuned gCGCD capoed at the 6th fret. including the 5th string

      Almost. It's gDGCD (C Modal) capoed at the 6th fret. You can still play it in gCGCD, however it requires a quite tricky hammer on, which is made trickier by the high speed at which it's played.
