glad to see you settled into the new apartment / studio and putting the new camera to good use. your "simple beat" and "few sample chops" are so nice. just got a Maschine MK3 recently and would be super happy if i ever get even half way close to something like this.
The setup feels good, but I do have some ideas for my “retirement” setup so I need to make some decisions down the line. Oh, that’s nice. The MK3 really changed my way of making beats. I’m 100% sure you can make something nice and simple like this 👊🏻
Bro...beatbro, you keep turning samples (from original) into fire in a very special way. You got that 👂🏼 and that 🖐🏼 and that ❤ and that 💭. Pure truth . Propz from germany 🧢✌🏼
🔥🔥🔥Music listeners want to relax, they have to concentrate all day long at work, for example. Music that is kept simple and catchy at the same time, that's how it should be.👍🔝💎 One question, which plugin or software do you use to record your bassline?
Love this one as always! What bass in massive are you using there? Any keyboard scale you recommend for bass? That’s always where I seen to get hung up on the most and seems like you have really figured it out.
Thanks a lot Nick 👊🏻 I’m using my favorite preset “Just bass”. What scale depends on the samples, and for a guy like me who doesn’t know any theory I often find that hex or pent in major/minor works.
Quick Question: How do you avoid CPU spikes when you’re creating on the maschine plus in standalone mode? Do you have any workflow workaround tips to lower the CPU rate when producing on the plus in standalone mode?
I haven’t had any issues with CPU so far, but I haven’t tried to max it out with a bunch of heavy VSTs.. I often use an expansion for some drums, vinyl samples and a VST bass. My tips would be to use samples over VSTs, or/and resample your VSTs into samples.
Nice one. How do you sync the used samples to the beat? Determine the BPM of the sample and use that as the BPM for the track? Timestretch/pitch the samples? Chop the samples up in many tiny slices attached to each beat? I have no experience with the Maschine platform btw.
I don’t bother about the bmp of the track when I’m sampling, that’s something I change when I start to chop the samples, and I just pitch my samples.. either up or down to make them fit my track bpm. It can be some back and forth adjusting the track bpm and pitch to make it work, but often times I pitch the records on the turntable over a drum beat to get a feel for what needs to be done.
I think you make it look way super simpler than it really is yow 😄
Nah, this was straight forward.. simple chops, nothing fancy.. anyone could make this I’m sure 👊🏻
@@BoombapArt Well, it's among my favorites so far!
Sampling is hard
When the click plays two beats before the next pattern (2:21), subtle but so pleasing! Dope beat!
Thanks Adam! 👊🏻 these clicks can be very annoying, but they can really help with timing and pacing
I absolutely love & appreciate your music 🎶 bro. Hip hop 4ever👍🏾
