Sam Witwer is a masterpiece. He owned not only the role of Hyde but every episode he was in. Best antagonist to grace this show since Peter Pan though: "Being with you is destroying me". - Jekyll The way I saw it, it was the other way around. I believe if either, Jekyll was the true evil persona, being unable to stand that Hyde was his more confident, charismatic and adventurous half and for that reason, it was he who was the life of the party, what Mary wanted.
Mr. Hyde was Originally going to be The Main Antagonist’s of The First Half of Season 6 of Once Upon a Time but of course The Creators wanted more of The Evil Queen and so Mr. Hyde was killed.
What I always find interesting is the fact that the writers of both movies and tv shows always write Jekyll and Hyde to be two completely different people with their own morals and ideologies instead of what actually happened in the book. In the book the story behind the two characters was actually scarier than having a pure evil character. In the book Hyde was nothing more than a vessel for Jekyll to hide in (no pun intended). The good doctor actually had a dark side that he was deeply ashamed of and wanted to actually live out so he created an escape to do so, that being Edward Hyde. They were the same person just different names and was a way for Jekyll for having more freedom. The issue was he did so without really thinking of consequences as he believed he wouldn’t hurt anyone and even if he did, it wouldn’t be his fault would it? He began to get addicted to changing into Hyde roaming freely wrecking havoc until he started killing people and decided that there was no true way out except death. Sad to see a man dig himself into a hole so deep that he couldn’t find a way out.
Dr.Jekyll seemed like the good guy and Mr. Hyde was the Villian until Season 6 That's when we all realized that The Good Dr. Jekyll was the Villian all along and Mr. Hyde was the good guy.
Hello, my name is Zelena. As a child, I was able to perform magic on Regina to heal her without Cora teaching me any of the spells. When I started learning magic, Rumplestiltskin believed I was much more powerful than Regina and Cora. I was able to banish the Good Witch of the South into a different realm solely through the use of my magic without any portals or objects. When I duelled Regina, I could neutralise her magic and throw her several feet away. I didn't even die when the Dark One himself tried to kill me, and I also managed to travel back in time. All of this, and I was scared of Mr Hyde, simply because he ate one of my blasts. Seriously though, there was so much Zelena could have done to Mr Hyde to stop him.
I mean she's a powerful witch and he took her blast like it was a breeze I'd be on edge too especially if I still don't know what I'm dealing with lol!
Your point contradicts itself. The fact that encountering someone her magic doesn't effect is unprecedented even against The Dark One, the essence of darkness itself when it's all she knows is exactly the reason said someone would be startling and cause her to have to concede that she was at a loss. Snow White establishes that it wasn't just Zelena who wasn't able to anticipate Hyde's resistance when she WTF stares at him and declares: "Jekyll was right. Run!" In situations such as this, conceding to being at a loss is sensible.
You're English is not bad at all. FYI, Hyde was invulnerable to all manner of attacks, he evaded effect from stabbing and strangling as well because he could only be injured through Jekyll, the dominant persona.
Wait since we later find out whatever happens to one half, the other will feel the same thing, wouldn't Hyde choking Jekyll also be him being choked to death too? Also when Hook stabbed Hyde in the back, shouldn't Jekyll have felt that too and when Snow electrocuted Jekyll, shouldn't Hyde have felt that too? Is it different in their world or does that not happen right away after they've been separated like when Regina crushed the Evil Queen's heart, Regina's heart didn't get crushed too?
I think it's more along the lines of Hyde is stronger than Dr. Jekyl so although he may have felt the effects of Jekyl being strangled he was strong enough to resist and he can't be strangled and made to pass out as we see when Mr. Gold strangles him. And I believe it was David who suggested that you can only kill the second version (ie. Evil Queen and Hyde) by kill the main vessel (Regina and Jekyl). And *SPOILER* . . . . . . Hyde doesn't show any signs of the effects of Jekyls battle with Killian until a few seconds after the deadly blow of being impaled, a few seconds later Hyde collapses and obviously suffered Jekyls fate with him.
I like the story line where everyone just assumed that Jekyll is an innocent good guy and I love that he took advantage of that and became evil in the end! Because He is Hyde and that is where Hyde gets all his power and evil and darkness from! Just because he’s got someone bad coming after him doesn’t mean he’s good!
Jayson Rittenhouse Hell no, I love the green fireballs, it totally fits her character, I was wishing they would do that after Zelena returned in season 4
I just came back to this after reading The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde for my Brit. Lit class and I am super happy that at 0:53 is Poole!!!! Like oh my gosh!!! Now all we need to do is find Dr. Lanyon and Mr. Utterson!!!!!!!
Hyde was invulnerable to all manner of attacks, he evaded effect from stabbing and strangling as well because he could only be injured through Jekyll, the dominant persona.
I think that in this case she mistimed her strike and the magic actually helped finish Hyde's transformation. Kind of the "your attacks only made me stronger" trope.
+Jason Oro No, the thing is, we haven't seen much of Hyde. So we have no idea what he has up his sleeve. It isn't that she's weak. They're in a whole new realm with different characters they've never encountered before.
I reeeeally liked this half of the season. And I reeeeally like Sam. The J/H storyline was great. I wish the evil Queen didn’t stay separate tho. Anywho, love this show.
Ironic how hook killed mr.Hyde and jekyll in just matter of minutes yet it takes superman a whole season to defeat doomsday or even realize its doomsday
Cause Clark had many distractions, and Chloe slowing him down didn't help one bit. Plus, Lana had just left him for the last time. He had a lot on his plate, so it's no wonder he wasn't all that focused on Davis/Doomsday. Also, he mistakenly thought Davis could be saved and felt bad for his fellow Kryptonian who was abandoned, while he lived a slightly more luxurious life.
@@tahminahabeeb175 Of course 🙂 Sam Witwer brought me here. I am currently bingeing Season 8 of Smallville (Doomsday season). OUAT is another fave of mine, so I'm aware of Sam's role in it. But I honestly believe that Doomsday is more of Chloe's show than Clark's. Clark was just a part of it :) But Anyway, OUAT is my next binge as soon as I finish all of Smallville.

It definitely would've been interesting to see what else he would do with Victor Frankenstein

The 1931 movie represents this quite well, actually
Daniel de Andrade I need to watch that one.
Oh, the pun of Mr. Hyde as "hide" was very much intended.
Sam Witwer is majestic
I hate to be that person but mr Hyde is HOT
God YES. Sam Witwer is just... 🙏
Thank you! He's gorgeous out
Oh good I'm not the only one who thinks this lol
Yes, he's very handsome, isn't he? ❤😍
Mary Long Sam Witwer?😂 I mean, yeah

3:06 Bro went Darth Maul right here.
Can't wait to see more of Jekyll and Hyde next season
I'm excited to see Zelena do stuff with the heroes instead of attacking them.
Fun fact: Mr. Hyde is played by the same guy who voiced Darth Maul in the Clone Wars and Rebels.
That's what makes it awesome

I'm excited to see the forgotten stories for next season like Paul Bunyan, Johnny Appleseed, sleepy hollow, etc.
