This message made me tremble before the Lord and repent as the Holy Spirit showed me ways I had made peace with disobedience just to have peace in my home. The Lord is bringing us back to obey the simple commands so that we will faithfully obey in the greater tasks ahead. Thank you for this message.
That was very sobering and timely. Yes, I want to accept the challenge the Lord has put before me, but I have yet to fully yield. I will continue to pray and seek the Lord.
For years I've been trying to understand this weird passage. No one has been able to answer it. Thanks ever so much Dalton sir for this. God bless you and your family and your ministry - from India.
Earlier today I read Gen 16 and it made me think of Gen 3 which are both cases where God spoke to the husbands but instead they listened to their wives. And this seems to be another example. When God speaks to us we can’t put others voices above the Lord no matter how close they are to us.
I'm in shock Dalton, God had put this very scripture on my heart this morning, and not more than a couple of hours later I find your video. Excellent teaching, may the peace of Jesus Christ be upon you and his grace surround you, amen.
Thank you chavar/brother for such a deeper understanding of this story. There's so many stories in the Torah where the cultural background is needed to grasp the meaning of what written. ( I just "found" your YT channel and sub to it and catching up with older videos and to the App too.🤗😆💯:-) SHALOM ❤️. I live in Florida , working to move to Israel to serve my Adon when the time comes for the great Tribulations.
That made me tremble. I have always wondered about that scripture, and now it will make me search deep and pray for revelation to see what compromise there be in me.
Wow this was a fantastic message.. .by that I mean convicting! Whew! And it really made sense of a perplexing scripture God bless this fellowship of believers
Exodus 18: Jethro, Zipporah & sons go to see Moses at Sinai because he had heard of the happenings in Egypt! Jethro rejoiced in the Goodness of GOD...1st use of word goodness
Doesn't Moses send her back? You are so right about husbands LEADING. Jesus takes this very seriously. I know of one man who died an early death because of it and I read about someone else's husband who died an early death for refusing to take care of their family. Yes indeed, Jesus will take you out if you continue to refuse to obey HIM and take care of your family.
There is another explanation. He (the lord) went out to meet him and wanted to kill his son in the same way that he was going to kill Pharaoh's firstborn. Then she got scared because she loved her son so she cut off his foreskin. And then she told him you are a blood husband to me because until that moment she had despised him.
I can relate to this right now. Min just left me of 10 years and 3 children. I allowed her to not follow scripture and Gods word the way I felt it to be true and was lead to be true just so we wouldn't fight. She told me we have different views in life. I don't allow things like Harry Potter in the house or allow my children to follow things that are of satin my simply said. I'm heart broken but I read Peter 4 and it blew my mind. Have faith in God trust in him. Follow without question. I know it can be tough at times but is there any other way. No there's not. Still heart broken its been 5 days. I know God has the best in store for me. I feel like he's preaching directly to me.
You see brothers in his fleeing the wrath of Pharaoh Moses was blessed in that he married well while in his exile. He married into the family of Jethro, the priest of Midian. Remember Midian was a son of Abraham born to his second wife Keturah after Sarah passed away. One of reasons that God stated why he chose Abraham is b/c He knew that Abraham would teach his children after him so Midian knew of the ways of God. Zipporah being the daughter of the priest of Midian knew exactly what had to be done even her husband was lacks in his covenant duties as a descendant Abraham took matters in her own hands and saved the life of her husband and their legacy.
She (the bride) said, " I know the bridegroom of blood". He's got it covered. He's enough. What's my part? Only he knows. He's worth it. He's got it. There is no offense, only forgiveness.

This gets me thinking that perhaps moses was considered to be part of pharaoh's household since he was raised by pharoah. May be God was going to kill him basing on that.

I don't like the ESV they change things and leave things out. It changes the way it is meant to be read. Even every "jot and tittle" as Jesus said. Even the punctuation is important. God knew Moses would do this..God showed Moses who he-God was, Moses experienced the power of the Lord first hand before all that was before moses to fully understand the weight and importance of doing what , how, and when God tells you .
To leave a Father for a husband HERE, is a bit different. Men are suppose to lay down their lives for the wife but in many marriages, it is the other way around. Fathers lay down their lives for their children. Men, those like Adam, do NOT! This was ADAMS SIN in the garden. She is bitter because SHE will have to lay her life down for the household to be saved since he will NOT. She again was given to MAN, BECAUSE IT IS NOT GOOD FOR MAN TO BE ALONE!WHY? BECAUSE HE WOULD HAVE NO COVERING! THE WOMAN GAVE HIM A COVERING IN GREAT PAIN AND SUFFERING AND IT IS A BITTER YET SWEET THING.

The parting of Zephora and Moses was mended when Moses's father in law Jethro, took Moses's wife and two sons to Moses at the Mount of God.

Priest of Midian? My take on this. Zipporah knew about Circimsision through her Father Jethro she saved Moses from death. Jethro worshipoed Yaweh

Zipporah probably would not have been welcomed in Hebrew homes so he had to send her back to her Father . Maybe 🤷♀️
