This is so funny, I was in London last weekend for the first time and was having the same thoughts you had about NY. Realising I can be more open and let people more easily in at home here in Norway. The day I traveled home I started feeling sick and have now been isolated at home for 5 days without having anyone to talk to except my husband and 80+-year old neighbour who I ran into getting the mail the other day. So much for grabbing the opportunity to being more open and social 😅

Im very similar I love the city but I also love nature and I can’t decide which I’d prefer living in 😅 that’s why I love where I live, I’m right where a huge forest is with a river and lakes but the capital is 10 min away and I always go there for that city multicultural vibe!! ❤
I love both! That's why London is perfect (and maybe NYC...) ! It has the perfect balance of go go go city vibes and quiet calm green spaces!

I think it is great you are adventurous and would pick up your entire life and move somewhere - kind of like you did years ago when you moved to London! However, you may wish to do a bit more research and some serious exploring when you take your fiancé for his inaugural visit! I was born in Queens and think New York was an absolutely amazing city with so much to offer. However, things have gone through some intense changes these past few years and might not be what you expect or desire. I’m just suggesting you do A LOT of research before you pack your bags and jump in with both feet! But in the interim, enjoy the fantasy and keep dreaming of what you want!
