So I just purchased one of these and I'm hearing a humming/ whistling sound coming from the module. We feel like the module is bad. If I were to buy a new one are they plug and play or does it need programmed? If so how do you program one of these?

WARNING! The first method also resets the throttle control. You need a scan tool to reset it on the 300.

    What if I don’t hear a click

That’s a very good question. I have a 2019 ram 5.7 L hemi and I did not know I had an adaptive transmission. I had no idea these things even existed. And certainly not as long as they have been around since 1990s. But I consider myself above average in keeping up with motor trends. And I spent about two years trying to figure out why my transmission would lug at about 1500 RPM. Took the dealer twice no help. So I saw three videos that said the same thing from different people. That’s good enough for me and so I tried it. Knock on wood, so far it’s actually worked. So you’re not going to hear a click necessarily, but it might still work. So give it a try. May have to a couple of times to do it right. It’s trickier than you think because you have to press the pedal, but do you do it fast.? Or release the gas pedal slow or fast?. It’s trial and error. But try it.

They never should of started putting computers in cars, another costly repair if needs parts. Bring back cars from the 50s 60s. better performance cheaper parts if needed. a computer in a car isn't suppose to be but then you have those ideas of how to create more profit. with no guaranty. I mean look at those EV's with batteries exploding and same with busses. just a bad idea to begin with.
