In this video, we react to 2 of the most impressive speedruns I've ever seen. The World's Hardest Game 1 and 2 are incredibly hard games to even beat. But what about people who can do it with 0 deaths? It's absolutely insane.

Thanks for the shoutout Eazy! Yea my whg2 run is pretty old and nowhere near as optimised as twhg1, that's why it had so many deaths. But also the game is harder and longer as you said so getting 0 deaths would be insanely difficult. Also shoutouts to Aaron for his absolutely insane run of twhg1!

I really gotta ask, how long did this take you out of curiosity? I mean like overall back from when you were a newbie with learning the strats, getting good, etc (if that makes sense). Cause yikes this is amazing.

@@burritocat2204 I’m not sure if you’re joking, but thought it would be good to remind people: just because something in a speed run looks weird or abnormal from an outside perspective, a lot of the time, it’s a completely normal thing to those that play the game.

For Level 2, you can just hold down the right key from the start. Learned this when I played back in elementary school.

RUclips can randomly decide what a game is based on some dumbass criteria if the uploader doesn't pick. It's actually pretty common for RUclips to decide a completely unrelated game is what the video is, since I guess RUclips's bots are shit at their jobs. This is honestly just the worst example of this I've seen, like how tf can this be mistaken for Minecraft?

I guess I was technically speed running this game back in 2008, practiced it during math and writing class until I got 2 deaths. Some guy uploaded his zero death run within weeks of the game coming out, made my run look pathetic. Good game though, waaaay better than the second one
Explaining 1:00
Basically, for the game to count a collision between the player and the enemy as a hit, their hitboxes must overlap for 2 consecutive frames. However in this level, the enemies move so fast that the hitboxes don't overlap for 2 consecutive frames. This only applies to certain Y levels in the level.
I remember beating this game after like a full day of playing after like forever of practice

It's nice of Eazy to push people to subscribe to those beastly runners. Neither of them has all that many subscribers given how well those games are known.
Then again, even for my tiny channel I find that I consistently get fewer views for the hardest game I run compared to others, a game which is even harder than these imo. Perhaps people are less interested in following once a certain level of difficulty is reached? ...On the other hand, I haven't actually beaten the hardest game I run, so that could be my issue 😅
When I played the second game, on the first level with a key if you got the key and died you could go right through the door without it being open lol

It took me months to finish the worlds hardest game 1 and 2. Seeing people finish in less than 20 minutes is really frustrating but i have to give it to them for their perseverance in these games.

It's not just hitboxes, it's how hit detection works.
There are 5 points on the red cube, one in the middle of each side and one in the actual middle, and if a blue ball is touching any of those points for two frames in a row then you die.If you hold straight in level 7, then none of the obstacles will touch any points for more than one frame in a row.

I was happy enough to be able to BEAT this game and its sequel way back when. For me though, I think the name of the game was to try to beat it in under 100 deaths lol

I think you should speed run Worlds Hardest Game 2 as either a subscriber special or as part of a charity event. It seems like a LOT of effort, so I think it needs to be for something special.
Imagine having Tritanomaly during the red dot stage and having to collect the yellow dots.

It looks like part of his issue with the second game is the hit boxes were way more unforgiving. A lot of times in the first run he got brushed by spheres and was fine, but similar brushes were ALWAYS death in the second game EDIT: OKAY didn't realize they were two different runners but my statement still stands, game 2 is way more precise with the hit boxes
