An abandoned monument of the early twentieth century - the building of the Mussoorie circus theater on Blagoveshchenskaya street. The giant arena and the auditorium, which could accommodate 6,000 people, were built in 1908 by architect Boris Kornienko. The circus belonged to the Greek citizen Gerasim Mussuri, but things did not work out for him ... Before the construction of HATOB, the Mussuri Theater was considered the largest theater in the city. Chaliapin, Shulzhenko, Pugacheva sang here ... It is believed that it was here that the concept of "Ukrainian operetta" was born ... Now the theater belongs to a private person, they intended to turn the building into an exhibition center, later a casino. The building is dilapidated and gradually crumbling ...
