Here’s how to change your counter shaft seal the easy way: The manual wants you to split the cases and all this craziness; however there is a much quicker way. If you lean the bike over on its right side (exhaust side), ideally up against a wall, but with a steep lean angle, all the engine case oil will shift to that slide. What this does is give you the ability to remove the seal without oil pouring out while you attempt to change the seal, and or having to do an oil change just to replace the seal. Once you’ve got the bike up against a wall, you can remove the shifter. What you need at this point is very small pick tool from Home Depot/Lowes. They usually come in a set of 3, with different style pick heads. It’s like $8 bucks. With this, you can easily grab the small seal around the shift shaft, and easily remove it. When installing the new seal, make sure you place a thin plastic bag (like the ones at Home Depot/Lowes when you checkout) over the splines of the shift shaft. Now you can take your new seal and push it over the splines (with the bag on them) and it will ensure you do not rip or tear the new seal while is slides over the shift shaft splines. At this point, you can take a matching sized deep wall socket and lightly tap/seat the seal around the shift shaft. Remove the plastic bag, and reinstall your shifter.
My dad used to work for a car supplier making components for most major car brands, and they always used industrial Loctite, which in no way compares with what they sell in any normal store. So if it falls off again, bypass anything you can buy at Home Depot and go straight for the industrial stuff (I believe it was Loctite 471 but they make different ones for different applications). They even use that stuff to glue airplane components together, so it's fail proof.
Please check your old connectior from the stator to the ruckus. i think how it looked, it just melted together and thats why it didnt charge. just looks like the problem i had with the connector. i replaced it and it worked just fine! :D
People please like this so he can see it... If the tail light falls off again, make small abrasions on the rear plastics and on the light housing itself before you glue. It will make more surface area and a stronger bond.
just remember the battery's purpose is to start the bike only that's why batteries have cold cranking amps...while riding the purpose of the stator is too charge the battery but at the same time it sends out AC current and it goes to ur regulator rectifier where it converts it to DC current for ur lights and accessories...well brother just a little info fro ur knowledge...later my friend good luck and take care and have fun riding...
Did you ever think of trying a heavy duty Velcro for the crf tail light? Assuming the Velcro holds to both surfaces and the light comes off, just stick it back on and ride on.
If you scuff the bottom of the fender and top of light bracket and use plastic weld it's a liquid mix. Also use the clamps that should be the most strong hold.
lawnmower looks okay but expected run time of 45 minutes for me is a deal breaker, we have a lot of ponds in our garden so we have to work round them and make it look pristine so I think I will stick with petrol lawn movers just a little while longer until they make battery life better
happy to see you ruck up and running! just started building out my second ruckus, sold my first a couple years ago before our first daughter was born. my wife surprised me this year on Valentine's day. I was wondering, how do you capture your audio while riding. I assume video is with a helmet mount GoPro, but the audio sounds too decent to be coming direct from the GoPro. thanks and congrats on the repair!
Stator, I knew it.. told ya man! Glad you got that fixed. I have the lawnmower model like one down from yours, gotta use an extension but I love it. Off topic, I saw how green your grass was last year. Gunna have to share what you use to fertilize lol.
I completely understand the thrill of scooters. I had a rescued Vespa 50cc that I brought back to life after it had been sitting in the woods for 20 years... Despite having a Kawasaki triple street rocket, I loved riding that little Vespa...
Sounds like you need a colder plug? Or gap it less with the upgrades The NKG platinum there like $9 each I put one in my klr 65o. Single and I have twenty percent more power. The factory plug is terrible.
Im not sure about the idle on the 150cc but I know that my 50cc came idling a little high from the dealership and would move the wheel forward without me throttling and when another dealership did the first service they adjusted the idle screw i think its called on the 50cc and now it idles super low and burbles like a beast but stays on. Maybe look it up for the 150cc?
briggs&stratton 75-90's lawnmovers are the best if you manage to kill one with regular usage you are just amazing. we have one 20year ish old and we have only added the oil when needed, sharpened blade and changes sparkplug once or twice
Next vid is sidecar mount on the Rucknosity for the mower!! Backyard done in 5. Anyway Moto, glad the family Ruckster is fixed. Now get out there tomorrow & lay down some mph! Peace.
You should def install an on/off switch to your headlights. It's super simple (autozone and only spent like 15$) ..It will help your battery last longer!
Two suggestions: get a bike lift and watch the chain adjustment on the crf. It's likely the chain is too tight which caused the seal to leak. From one Brent to another, love the videos and hope I can make a meet up one day.
you do know you are burning out your clutch when you start your gy6 on choke and you have to hold the brake, what you should do is start on choke and take it off right away and man handle the iddle until it the engine warms up, anyways just hurts my thoughts seeing you have to squeeze the brake so hard on choke and burning out that clutch
If this adhesive fails aswell for the 450 tail, then use BISON Polymax. Polymax will be better for this because it doesnt get hard after drying, it always will stay a little soft. I.E. the vibrations of the motor will not slowly chip away at the glue.
awesome dude! I wonder how many people in your neighborhood are like, "look at this dude running up and down all the time... ughh..." certainly not me bc I'd be out joining in the ride but just wondering how many ppl don't know that you have the following you do. keep it man!
If the CRF plate comes off again, rather than bolt through the tail you could try cutting very thin slits just so you can fit a long zip tie in the first hole then out the other and do it that way. Maybe even use red zipties!!
Good work on your ruckus! Congrats! well thought commercial with the electric lawnmower,, ;) i like the potential of riding on elektricity but the batterys aren't ready yet
can you use a catalytic converter instead of an exhaust muffler somebody told me the yxz 1000 had a catalytic converter instead oh yeah you need a bigger fatter back tire that's flat like a dragster so you can skid if you have to and taller handle bars so you can sit upright heck maybe even a seat with springs so that you can be more comfortable but does it fit in the back of a standard or rented suv?
If the back plate holder falls again hear me out, bolt it in then fill the holes with some sort of plastic filling and then smoothen and paint it over and it should look like there was no holes
Bro I'm having the same problem! Do you run a ATR harness & if so could you dm me a pic of the stator clip on the harness ? Like you I had removed the clip + didn't mark the correct spotless each wire ! Smh now I've drained 2 1oo$ + lithums.
Yeah I have a 62 inch zero turn and it takes me 3 hours to mow. The battery mower is cute but if I had a yard that tiny I would just go old school rotary mower.
I got a old brigs motor on mine, I got it not working cleaned it and found out it has almost no compressiom she still runs first pull. good old gas motor for ya.
I would feel like it is a little lean if it dies like that. It could just be super cold blooded. I would turn some needles if it were me just to see. Or just talk to the Ruck shop
I'll tell you a third time... CA Primer and Loctite 420... E600 does not penetrate Polypropylene plastic. I know because I bought several expoxy products and ended up with CA Primer and Loctite 420, which TORE PIECES OFF when I tried to remove it.
I have a tube of E6000, while it worked better than most, it easily pulls off with less than 10% of the force the CA Primer and Locktite 420. Hell the solution I used BARELY made any contact, and it was by far the strongest one. I still didn't trust it though, and ended up drilling and bolting just because I didn't want to worry, and that's more important that looking super clean to me. Lets all wait for the next video where the tail light falls off the CRF.
Check that all balls seal kit. I've had some shitty ones from them for my KTM. The outside diameter of the replacement collar should have a very fine almost polished finish. If it has micro grooves on it then it'll never seal up properly. This is coming from a Precision machinist and Toolmaker for over a decade for what it's worth.
That's cute. You don't have any grass to cut.
flatline7310 I believe it's more of a trim lol

could always start a landscaping and "Honey-do" channel called "Mowtonosity"
D. F. lol
im dying. lmao hahahaha
lol good one mate

did I seriously just watch someone mow their lawn as content. Well played Motonosity well played.
C.J. McNally next comes the live stream of grass growing
Have you not seen OG Doitwithdan? He did lawnmower vlogs.
+C.J. McNally 😅
Motonosity shoulda bought a push mower, i have one and it works great!!
Please check your old connectior from the stator to the ruckus. i think how it looked, it just melted together and thats why it didnt charge. just looks like the problem i had with the connector. i replaced it and it worked just fine! :D
Glad to see you got the Ruckus working again! Hopefully you don't have many more issues with it in the future!
People please like this so he can see it...

Timmy Dunn He already did that
TW0 TIRES oh ok thanks. I never saw him do it
he didn't do that on the light mount
SoBe 6 I'm just with him, I think it looks better with the clean look. But to each their own lol
just remember the battery's purpose is to start the bike only that's why batteries have cold cranking amps...while riding the purpose of the stator is too charge the battery but at the same time it sends out AC current and it goes to ur regulator rectifier where it converts it to DC current for ur lights and accessories...well brother just a little info fro ur knowledge...later my friend good luck and take care and have fun riding...
I want one! The Ruckus, not the lawn mower, though I appreciate there's not much difference...
glad the ruckus is fixed. been waiting for this. still trying to finish my build.
I use a manual mower. Good cardio! 🐢☠️
New shirt idea! "Lawnmower build series" have epic graphics of grass being cut with the motonosity logo. Would buy.
+Alexis Gerardo lol Jake has that covered with the sand castle shirt
Well done, you won't worry about your yard anymore. So interestiing to see you riding this small bike.
Did you ever think of trying a heavy duty Velcro for the crf tail light? Assuming the Velcro holds to both surfaces and the light comes off, just stick it back on and ride on.
Thought the same thing, used to be called "grip lock" MUCH stronger than you would think... the more ya know...
but would he still not need to use an adhesive to stick the velcro to the tail?
It has its own adhesive, truckers used it to Mount a CB under their dashboard. Radio shack used to sell it, years ago.
Mowernosity...... send it to powder and paint! You should street fighter that mower! Stance it, and get insane cuts!
Did you fix the loose bolt that u said you would fix 👌
+Tommy Dingle I did :)
Still surprise you haven't tried to adjust the carburetor how difficult is that ?
so glad to see you got the Ruckus up and going again.
the all balls kit leaked on my crf. went with oem and no leak. you can pry it out with a blade just don't mess up the seating area
You need a full exhaust for that mower. I hear FMF has a good deal on the PowerCore 4 and powerbomb header right now.
Glad you finally fixed it. Been missin' the ruck.
If you scuff the bottom of the fender and top of light bracket and use plastic weld it's a liquid mix. Also use the clamps that should be the most strong hold.
Your ruckus turned out nice. Glad you were able to figure out the issue you were having. Shout out from San Antonio
+Gino Munoz Thanks bro!
So many things got fixed in this video! I was half expecting you to fix the leak on the CRF right then and there lol
+Brussell512 I should've haha
lawnmower looks okay but expected run time of 45 minutes for me is a deal breaker, we have a lot of ponds in our garden so we have to work round them and make it look pristine so I think I will stick with petrol lawn movers just a little while longer until they make battery life better
Let me recommend that after you use that electric mower you let the battery cool down before charging to prolong the batterys life
happy to see you ruck up and running!
just started building out my second ruckus, sold my first a couple years ago before our first daughter was born. my wife surprised me this year on Valentine's day.
I was wondering, how do you capture your audio while riding. I assume video is with a helmet mount GoPro, but the audio sounds too decent to be coming direct from the GoPro.
thanks and congrats on the repair!
I'm glad you got the Ruckus fixed. Good job!
Stator, I knew it.. told ya man! Glad you got that fixed. I have the lawnmower model like one down from yours, gotta use an extension but I love it. Off topic, I saw how green your grass was last year. Gunna have to share what you use to fertilize lol.
+ᕱᒷᕦ᙭ just a fertilizer at the beginning of the year and lucky weather lol
I've got the Husqvarna 330 robotic lawnmower last summer. It's epic!
The factory plug is terrible.
love how you use Warp stabilizer to make your areal mowing shot look better +1
If it does not hold on the plate mount, try 3M panel bond, they use it to hold on body panels on cars.
You can try next with fiber resin. I think that's what it's called. It should hold real tight.
It's about time you got the ruckus fixed. I love that thing lol
briggs&stratton 75-90's lawnmovers are the best if you manage to kill one with regular usage you are just amazing. we have one 20year ish old and we have only added the oil when needed, sharpened blade and changes sparkplug once or twice
Next vid is sidecar mount on the Rucknosity for the mower!! Backyard done in 5. Anyway Moto, glad the family Ruckster is fixed. Now get out there tomorrow & lay down some mph! Peace.
Motonosity, the only thing hes does quite it mowing, never mind all the bikes loudly coming and going from his house.
You should def install an on/off switch to your headlights. It's super simple (autozone and only spent like 15$) ..It will help your battery last longer!
You need to adjust your fuel mixture screw on your carb, that should fix the idle
Next build series lawn mower
That back yard has great potential to have a shop specifically for the bikes with a playset in the side for the young one!
I love my eGo lawn mower. did you get the self propelled one?
+evo nah went for the regular one haha. Get that extra cardio in
Well done on fixing the ruckus
I got the e-go weedeater the lawn mower is next but been thinking about getting the harbor freight one. It's got some good reviews.
If this adhesive fails aswell for the 450 tail, then use BISON Polymax. Polymax will be better for this because it doesnt get hard after drying, it always will stay a little soft. I.E. the vibrations of the motor will not slowly chip away at the glue.
all the mechanics are facepalming so hard it took a week + to solve, upside you learned new skills :) gj man
YES!!! The Rukus is back
Ok i might have missed a video what did you end up doing to fix your charging issue?
Will that counter seal replacement kit work on a 2005 crf450x? Mine needs replaced.
Sam Fletcher allballs racing makes one to fit your bike, you can go to their website and order one.
Burnt valve or nah?
What does this have to do with the crf450 build?
Iv used e6000 on a lot of stuff... It doesn't handle vibrations very well... But maybe it will work for you
awesome dude! I wonder how many people in your neighborhood are like, "look at this dude running up and down all the time... ughh..." certainly not me bc I'd be out joining in the ride but just wondering how many ppl don't know that you have the following you do. keep it man!
My aunt had that exact one and it was a pain
You should try and take care of that carb issue. Not sure if it's a jetting problem or not, but I'm sure it's a simple fix. :-)
If the CRF plate comes off again, rather than bolt through the tail you could try cutting very thin slits just so you can fit a long zip tie in the first hole then out the other and do it that way. Maybe even use red zipties!!
Good work on your ruckus! Congrats!
well thought commercial with the electric lawnmower,, ;)
i like the potential of riding on elektricity but the batterys aren't ready yet
How's the BMX coming along?
lowkey like the lawnmower shots plz do more
So happy that the ruckus is back
can you use a catalytic converter instead of an exhaust muffler somebody told me the yxz 1000 had a catalytic converter instead oh yeah you need a bigger fatter back tire that's flat like a dragster so you can skid if you have to and taller handle bars so you can sit upright heck maybe even a seat with springs so that you can be more comfortable but does it fit in the back of a standard or rented suv?
It's working it's really working!! - anakin from the phantom menace when he was pod racing
If the back plate holder falls again hear me out, bolt it in then fill the holes with some sort of plastic filling and then smoothen and paint it over and it should look like there was no holes
how about a 5 plus hspower push gas lawmower build. how about ethanol or even alcohol as fuel.
Good shit man, congrats on getting it sorted out!
Aww man! You didn't run out of gas?! I was kindda looking forward to that!!
Why is the idle set at 6.5k RPM?
Bro I'm having the same problem! Do you run a ATR harness & if so could you dm me a pic of the stator clip on the harness ? Like you I had removed the clip + didn't mark the correct spotless each wire ! Smh now I've drained 2 1oo$ + lithums.
Up the idle screw and it should idle fine without the choke on
Yeah I have a 62 inch zero turn and it takes me 3 hours to mow. The battery mower is cute but if I had a yard that tiny I would just go old school rotary mower.
+dj beard unfortunately those just don't work on the grass here once things really start growing. I've tried. Just doesn't cut it :/
I don't know about my other fellow hardcore gas lawn equipment users but I don't like this mower
Joseph Samsor I agree
Joseph Samsor I am with you brother
Joseph Samsor it's so plasticy
+Joseph Samsor #triggered
I got a old brigs motor on mine, I got it not working cleaned it and found out it has almost no compressiom she still runs first pull. good old gas motor for ya.
LOL you really threw the drone up there for that shot.. man you dedicated
Ego makes really good stuff for being electric.
Been waiting for a while to hear about the ruckus
Don't forget you need to fix the side stand on the CRF
Do you need a motorcycle license if you do the gy6 swap?
I would feel like it is a little lean if it dies like that. It could just be super cold blooded. I would turn some needles if it were me just to see. Or just talk to the Ruck shop
I'll tell you a third time... CA Primer and Loctite 420... E600 does not penetrate Polypropylene plastic.
I know because I bought several expoxy products and ended up with CA Primer and Loctite 420, which TORE PIECES OFF when I tried to remove it.
Nah, dawg, just use crappy off-the-shelf solutions that are KNOWN to not work for any extended duration.
Lets all wait for the next video where the tail light falls off the CRF.
why not go EFI instead of carb?
So uh... gonna welcome me to Austin by letting me see the Ruckus in person this June when I move there?
Love the new build series
I'm surprised you didn't do lunges while mowing for an extra pump =)
A lawnmower, this was awesome. 😂 you and batteries have no luck.
To fix the choke issue put a bigger main jet in the carb
is now a bad time to ask if you have fixed your frickin Speedo on the supermoto?
I have the same mower. It kicks ass.
lol there is grass in Texas? Nice homeowner equipment
like your video's. Do you have any Connecticut plates? And how is the ruckus?
You can use a small flat head screw driver instead of buying a seal puller
proud of you papi
Says stoaked a lot, gets into bmx and wants to start drifting. Looks like some one has been watching their fair share of Adam LZ lol. Great vid bro
Check that all balls seal kit. I've had some shitty ones from them for my KTM. The outside diameter of the replacement collar should have a very fine almost polished finish. no lawn mower First Ride review? :(
use 3m tape for stick your plate
More lawn mowing please
