Listening to white noise increases the emission of alpha waves in the brain and decreases beta waves. Alpha waves are brain waves that come out when you are focused or at rest, and beta waves are the frequencies that come out when your brain is anxious.
Therefore, when you listen to the sound of rain, alpha waves increase, which makes your brain feel comfortable and helps you to relax.

And, I'm sure this will sound silly that I'm having to ask this, but I've seen so many recently that are incredibly realistic AI, but you can tell, even though they are well done, that it's AI. I'm not sure here. Is this a really peaceful real place that someone filmed, or is it phenomenal AI? If someone knows for sure--or the content creator wouldn't mind responding--I'd love to know...as well as how I can tell the difference. I don't really care either way, but I'm just very curious.
