This is how I go about getting more sustain out of high gain tones, in this demo we are using the Line 6 Helix but the principals apply to just about any setup digital or analog.

A feedback block would be really cool. Like a sustainiac but in the form of a helix effect.

@ToneJunkieTV I'm just not quite sure if I'm going to like it going through my Mesa 2 by 12 cab, or if the line 6 power cab is going to come out on top... I'm kinda trying to find something to replace my Mesa triple Crown... Fingers crossed that with this new update, the helix at least rivals it enough for me to justify its purchase 🤞

I have a line 6 pod go which is pretty much a scaled down helix, my issue is that I have a mega high gain tone that is really tight, it’s wonderful for rhythm, but if I try to tap and play leads, the notes just die out.

I'm an oldschool 80's guitarist who finally converted to digital after checking in and rejecting it for decades. But now it's just too hard to deny decent amp modelling with all the additional practical considerations that go along with digital integration.
Anyways. I picked up the Helix floor and am back in love with playing, but I have a question about feedback. Is it still only possible to get good, realistic, tube-driven harmonic feedback effect on the Line6 in the home studio without a physical speaker? Especially with the necessity of gating.
Now I'm only a couple weeks deep into the Helix so maybe I haven't discovered it yet...

How do you get those high gain tones whitout the annoying feedback?
