What always pissed me off is the Chris Brown still got a great career and didn’t get dropped and ppl still love and defend him and Janet got canceled over a small mishap .. such a joke
I wish I still had the cassette tape I recorded an FM radio song on when my mom yelled…. ”Turn down that f**kin radio!”. The song was “Another one bites the dust” in 1980. Fun times, I tell ya.
@@Ug1i Go watch Janet's Lifetime documentary (produced by Janet). Just DID ask her to issue a statement and she adamantly declined. He asked more than once and she continue to decline him making any statements. She didn't think he had the clout to push the networks to back off and I have to agree.
Always but geeze was those times in the 90s before all this crap was much better the summer was better burger King really tasted like real food McDonald's was cheap weed was always on point no laced bs 😮😢
The one thing i do miss about the 2000s is we still had rock n'roll. We had the Darkness, the Strokes, Buckcherry, we still had kick ass bands. Maybe the drug scene wasn't as bad as the 60s but Millenials still had their share that's the truth.
you just got a new Beatles song and the Rolling Stones just released an album. your old rock bands and their music is still around. maybe that's the problem. yall are constantly saying "we want what happened in the past to happen forever" instead of anything new, and no one else agrees with you.
I think another thing that has changed is that musicians used to write songs about breakups, love, feelings. Many songs were autobiographical. Now, most music is processed and most artists do the same songs.
what are you talking about? current artists like Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande are all about what you just mentioned. so are hundreds of other artists. if you can't find new songs you like, that is a problem with you, not with music. there's more variety than ever before. maybe try something in Spanish or Korean if you can' t enjoy English-language music anymore.
There should be a CD revival and a cassette tape revival it would be fantastic since there is a vinyl revival which I think has been going on since 2012 there is nothing like having physical media in your hands to listen to.
I hope record stores don’t go out of business I don’t mind buying CDs online but there is nothing like buying CDs cassettes and vinyl records going into an actual music store where there’s lots and lots of CDs cassettes and vinyl I love looking for rare material the rare material the better there are something awesome about listening to the hits of the cassette tape and vinyl records and I love listening to CDs as well it’s fantastic.
The reason why music is in decline is because there is no talent out there that can play an instrument or sing. Napster and the like are echo chambers. for no talent no marks who tell other what they want to hear.
Actually Lady Gaga can sing. But people not being able to play was actually a feature of punk and no less than Marc Bolan was musically illiterate but good at working things out instinctively. What has more to do with it is people chasing the same demographics, sampling the same music for backing tracks and overpaid management.
look, if the cost to go see a band in concert is like 400 bucks, witch is a hotel, gas and the ticket then getting there music for free is ok by me and plus if i like the album ill buy it i mean spottily is perfect i can listen to an album if i like good , i bought so many cds only to be disappointed by how bad it was and back in 2000 cds were 21 bucks look at Taylor swifts tickets going for 3000 bucks and her new cds are expensive to and not that good, so again i own like 3000 cds but the artist shouldn't be complain about this there still making money and are still millionaires

Right! He's a piece of Sh*t women beater!
Chris brown got dropped from everything wym? He was everywhere before the incident. He just has a core fan base.
I’ll never understand how people can still listen to R Kelly and Chris Brown.

The fact that Janet Jackson was cancelled but Timberlake grey pisses me off
Exactly it’s just a nipple who really cares
At the time Justin didn't know it would expose her nipple he was too she was wearing something underneath.
@@danniemoore97but he didn’t do anything to clear her name after

What I noticed was that it was women, more than men, who slut-shamed her.
So much for the sisterhood.
I'll never be OK with Justin Timberlake for not standing up for Janet Jackson

Seriously, drug problems where about the same. Maybe even better!😊
@@suziemess494 Yep. Not a popular person but I speak the truth. Just what I saw with my own eyes.
@@perfectallycromulentLets be honest both of those bands are pretty crap, speaking as a huge rock n roll fan

It’s fair to say every decade had their dark sides.

Can we all appreciate Ashlee Simpsons random hoedown when her lip syncing went wrong on SNL
She was suicidal after that incident
The industry loves supporting terrible men while tearing down women
It’s always been dog eat dog… read those contracts !
Stay away from the drugs
Cds 💿 are still here. There is still a market for them. Over 33 million still sold in the U.S. last year.
Home taping was taxed (tax on tape itself) in The Netherlands. And a copy on tape was 100% legit for home (non public) usage.
it must suck to sit around all day and whine about how the music of your teenage years isn't still popular now, and forever, like you want.
Metallica was shamed but Napster released an UNFINISHED song. Not cool.
I 4got all about Napster, Limewire, etc.
I also 4got Ashlee Simpson used 2 "Sing"

Did he say Chris Brown didn’t suffer ? It took Bro like 5yrs to come back with bangerz
YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE
ANY TALENTS .... just very
GOOD LOOKS.......... !!!!!!!!!!!
Metallica= Hypocrisy; Lars & James more or less 'met' via sharing mixtapes of obscure metal bands
