Ohhh super fun Shelly!!! With you just getting the Ninja Combi is there anything you might want to see me do here or even suggestions please let me know how your meat loaf went. I do not use the 390 on most things even the 350 cooks super fast.
Thank you for taking the time to watch and appreciate my videos! Your support means everything to me. I'll keep sharing my experiences and meal ideas with you all!
@@nessasnook yes I did! And it definitely takes it to a new level! I can’t name anymore yet. Running all day and the one store we went in didn’t have bouillon 😡Tomorrow’s another day.. I’m wiped lol
Thanks for the demo! Just picked up this beauty on Black Friday….Kohls Dept. Store. Was $229 but I opened a credit card so received 35% off bringing it down to $149 plus Kohls gives Kohls Kash so another $60 to spend on my purchases cyber Monday (Ring doorbell for free). I hadn’t watched much about the Combi but was trying to find a product to replace my old toaster oven…the one knob broke off the Sunday before Black Friday. The counter space I have for where I want to put it is only 17” wide so this unit fits perfectly. It’s next to my stove so I can run the exhaust fan. We have also lined the underside of the cabinet with a heat resistant fabric and tact it there so the steam will not harm the cabinet (had this in place with the toaster oven). I watched your video in this unit and it helps me feel more confident about tackling the “Combi”. It’s exceeded my expectations in that the toaster setting did a beautiful job on English muffins…glad to have it in a pan and not a rack….clean up much easier and no flipping to get both sides done. …. Also I bake a banana blueberry coffee cake in a 9 X9” pan every week. The old pan fit on top,of the crispy sheet and cooked it ….well over cooked it..in 28 minutes…The older toaster oven took 40 minutes). Made bacon using the Combi air fry setting… I should have tried their suggested time of 12 minutes but I did in 3 minute intervals so not to over cook…I’ll have to get some more experience to tweak the perfect time but LOVED the clean up….just pour off the water/bacon grease into a steel can and then wiped out the stainless steel interior when it cooled….beautiful clean up. Will attempt steaming some asparagus and an acorn squash and air frying frozen shrimp today…. Enjoying this “new gadget”! I’ll be watching your videos for more helpful suggestions! Thanks!❤
I am trying to get some sort of deflector for mine I would have to measure if that would fit by the stove that can go up and under good thinking. Khols can put out some super great deals. I need to call Best buy see if they will credit back the 20 bucks it on sale for now. I think you will like the combi I have been trying to use it more. The hubs has been doing his wings in it. And sometimes checking works well the dinner I did last night was pretty good and worked out I need to find new containers to add when cooking 2 things at the bottom when you are using water. If you come up with some yummies you want to share please feel free to and you can email them at Nessasnook0713@gmail.com or if you find even some on other channels feel free to share here :)
@@nessasnook thanks for the reply. At a minimum you could use heavy tin foil under the cabinets. I steamed an acorn squash for 8 minutes. Then I added asparagus tips on the same crispy tray. Placed a porterhouse steak on the top tray (removed the bone and fat and seasoned the steak with a mix of steak type seasonings). Put the unit on Combi meals (350 degrees for 10 minutes). In ten minutes, the squash and asparagus was done to a nice tender consistency and the steak was a perfect medium. Although there was no “sear”/grilling on the outside of the steak the whole meal was done and clean up was just soaking the three pans in soapy water and then hand washing ….i prefer to hand wash these pans as I don’t run the dishwasher every day. Wish Ninja had a separate set of pans for this size … including the original pans that come with the machine and the Dutch oven pan. Just did a single slice of toast on medium and it was beautifully toasty on both sides. Just decided to get Hello Fresh meals and think this unit is perfect to make these meals in the Combi mode.
ohhhhh wee.... that sounds amazing I did get this ordered from amazon www.amazon.com/dp/B09H27GLQD?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I am hopeful that might work if not I will try the heavy duty foil. Its not appealing to see under the cabinets but way better than icky cabinets! Your meal sounded amazing I wonder once this combi gets going if there will be more stuff. I see someone on one of the combi groups was using silicone to use on the bottom, but I am not sure how I feel about silicone either. That whole meal looks amazing! I’m like you Nessa when it comes to dry food! I don’t like dry food. It actually makes me choke. So I make everything saucy. I subscribed, I bought the Combi also. I haven’t cooked to much on it yet. Just got it a week ago, and we are moving and I’m not at that house now. I have done air fried home made chopped up potatoes twice, they turned out good. The first time I did fish sticks on the top pan. They got done really quick and I had to pull them out quick, and let the potatoes continue cooking. The fish sticks was amazing. The second time I did frozen hamburger patties on top and they got a little overcooked. It will be fun trying different things with it once I get my kitchens combined and get my stuff/act together! It will be fun watching you try things.
I do notice Linda if you do cook at the 375-390 that most requests the stuff gets over done and dry I do like to cook at 350 and maybe add time. I have noticed also everything on the top shelf does seem to cook faster well I did have cut in half chicken breasts so I thought it was due to how thin they were. Since you are new is there any other things other than more Combi meals you would maybe like to see and welcome new friend :)
Thank you David it was pretty good I am batting 100% on the stuff I have tried in the Combi. Do you have one? I think you are new here is there anything you might want to see here in my channel?
Thank you so much. I was struggling to find a way to adapt the 6 person meals into just 2 for me and the hubby. You inspired me to just go for it! I made thin cut pork cutlets with mushroom soup and did a rice pilaf just like you. It was delicious.
Wonderful! Ohhh that is soo nice. And if you make something that you like warmed up the combi does a great job on left overs and tastes like fresh. I think you are new here anything you might want to see on my channel Joy?
@nessasnook Yes I am new ... and more Combi meals for 2 would be great. I've just unboxed mine and started playing with it so finding new recipes or adaptations of the family-size meals will be very helpful.
I will do my best I have trying to take meals that normally I would fix and put into a combi meal. So just keep eye open for any I might have out there I know there are not a lot of combi stuff but I would if you have FB find some groups there
Thank you for sharing! I got my combi about a month ago and I love it!! Its great to have your videos for guidance. I like your idea of using a lower temp. I have overcooked a few things so I am going to use this tip in the future.
Thank you Barbara for your lovely comment! I'm really happy to hear that you're enjoying your combi and finding my videos helpful. It means a lot to know that I'm making a positive impact. Let me know if there's anything specific you'd like to see in future videos. Keep cooking up a storm!
I haven't tried the Combi yet, but I think Ninja also "erred on the side of caution" with their Speedi recipes, like the temperature and cooking time was "as fast as possible and very unlikely to be undercooked", as opposed to, say, "as tasty as possible and maybe check the temperature if using thicker pieces of protein".
Great job. I bought one of these combis a month ago and literally used it two days after it arrived but just to toast some English muffins. I have several Ninja appliances and bought this on a whim. I have yet to try it since, and in hindsight I wish I'd purchased the speedy instead, but you have convinced me to try this with some chicken tonight. Thanks for the video.
I have the speedi too and the speedi is good and fun but I like the combi better except for the venting! I wish honestly the combi was a smidge bigger. I did actually find a bigger steam oven that is SS inside that is something happens to my june I can replace it with that. I use my toaster oven more than my real ovens. Let me know how the chicken turns out and yes I have my hand full of Ninja things too
I guess I need to read my manual all the way through. Did you make any yummies with yours? Have you. Found any great sources other than a few fb groups and a super few yt videos. Is there anything you might want to see here on my channel Janice

Thank you so much, Nessa. I have had a real hard time finding recipes for my Combi. Your videos are wonderful. I love that you make your own dried soups and stuff. Sometime, when I’m not so busy I will look to see if I can find your recipes for them. In the meantime, I mistakenly thought the Combi also acted as a dehydrator and was excited to think I would acquire some more counter space. Sadly, after I purchased the Combi I discovered the truth. I was reading a Speedie ad. What a shame to leave such an important function out. Has anyone tried th dry herbs or anything else in the Combi? I tried using the proof mode but was not working. I think the other modes might just cook them. Thank you again.
To be honest I never looked to see if mine had dehydrate. I do not dehydrate food like I once did once I got my freeze dryer. Thank you for the wonderful compliments. I do also have a speedi I prefer the combi over the speedi 100% however I do wish it was a smidge taller and maybe even wider I would not be shocked if Ninja came up with an XL model like how they did the flip stove and then went to the stoves they have now. I do love the SS inside as I am not a huge fan of non stick. I am going to try to make more videos with the foods I have already cooked to do in the combi. And I am in the process of finding more dry stuff to do and maybe even meals in the jar. If you can think of anything else you might want to see here on my channel let me know and if you would love to share your name that is great I do like to call you all by your names most time when responding. Have a great day!
I looked into the Harvest Freeze Dryer myself but so many of the reviews mentioned all the mechanical problems and of course the expense is pretty high, so I opted for the dehydrator instead. If anyone should reply with using the Combi as a dehydrator I’d love to know about it. As for suggestions that I might want to see on your channel… I’m very much into healthy eating. Until I saw your recipe for using the level one tray for doing veggies, I had the impression all you do in that pot is carbs, and a lot of them. When you put that loaf pan, the asparagus and the little pot of water in that pan, it opened up a new door for me. So more veggies, less cards for me. Thank you again. I hope someday you’ll make a Combi cook book …with pictures. Your good at explaining things. @@nessasnook
There can be a host of issues with the HR freeze dryers we have not had too many and its super simple fix that my husband fixed. I do think I have issue going on with one of my circuit boards so I get you on that one. I dont know about writing a cook book it would have to be this or that since I dont like to measure :) Some people think you need exact. I am trying to find some smaller dishes that I can use on that tray as its nice to fix the WHOLE meal I will try to make sure I try to make up more meals in the Combi for you. Have a great day!
That’s perfect! The “This and That Ninja Combi Cookbook”. I cook that way and I bet a lot of others do too. Just a thought. It might sell really good since we are having such a hard time finding recipes for the Combi right now. God’s blessings to you.@@nessasnook

Wow, that looked scrumptious!! What a great start for your new gadget! I have a hint for you, in the recipe you should mention how you decreased the temperature and the time and put a big happy face to show you how delicious it was!! Have a great evening!
Mmmmmmm, I know that meal was delicious. I made that same meal but I did use the rice a roni and I did the same as you and lowered the temp to 350 and it came out perfect. I also use the slow cooker function a lot with the dutch oven accessory which we love. For the two of us it works really good. Good luck with your combi and I'll be watching for any new recipes that you try. Stay safe.
So you think the price they are asking for the dutch oven is WORTH buying it I take it. I often wonder if the Airfyer company like to say higher heat to prove air frying is faster but not realizing soo many complain of being dry food which I am NOT a fan of! I do like lowering the temps for sure!
Right now it's $49.95 on the Ninja web site, not sure if it's worth the price or not but it will probably come down in price as the holiday's get closer. I would wait for awhile anyway just to see. For the two of us it's nice because it's small and I don't have to get out the big crockpot for a small meal, I like it. Yes I have found that with all the Ninja products to lower the temps. I think because of the confined spaces in the ovens they seem to cook hotter so I always lower the temps and always use my instant read thermometers just to be sure.@@nessasnook
I cooked in my combi for the first time, spaghetti & chicken thighs and think speedi worked better. Spaghetti with 2 cups chicken broth and 1 jar spaghetti sauce with broken up chop meat came out kind of dry with some spaghetti burned together. I had to add little water at end to loosen it up. Thighs were cooked on top tray, 6 with skin on and it was swimming in it's own juices. 20 minutes on combi baking so what I found. If your making any coated meat better be skinless or juices will prevent it from crisping unlike in the speedi had no problem. Spaghetti should have broken in half and altered directions so wouldn't pack down. Looks like speedi technics aren't fully transferable to combi
I have not made a lot in my Speedi. Mainly Burgers/fries. I dont think I ever tried sketti in either. I did make some alfredo and I get what you mean by criss cross I think both the speedi and the Combi both are things you need to learn the curve to make your best meals. I have not done chicken drummies, but most meat I do cook is skinless. Do you think you prefer the speedi or combi over all? I like how much wider the combi is for more cooking things. I think the rice works about the same in both.
@@nessasnook so far only cooked in combi once but the speedi I was impressed with. Bought a second crisper tray so had 3 total levels to cook on. Did rice in bottom, vegtables on middle crisper tray with legs folded in and pork chops in top tray with legs out and it worked every time no matter what coated meat cooked. I think unless combi gets top crisper try to hold food out of drippings coated meats can't be cooked on top tray or leave top tray in if using large pan crisper tray. I bought the Ninja dual oven off QVC which didn't think much of taking it out of the box but now I like it. It may not be wide but its deep and cooks surprising well in both sections.
I made chicken noodle alfredo in combi and set it to pasta fuction to cook the noodles and the display switched from the circle box to counting up and I didn't know what it meant. After about 5 minutes dug out the manual and looked it up lol. They make work the cook the same but don't work the same

I have a hard time finding things too and I like to try new things I just hate to fail on film :)

I am honestly not sure where I got the set but it is the square iris from corelle. I have had mine about 10 years now so not sure where the full sets can be bought. Sorry I am not more helpful www.amazon.com/Corelle-Square-Shadow-Iris-Plate/dp/B01AJ5N2O6/ref=sr_1_7?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.pARxHi4HtAem12g6UZoj8XtzvMAQNwmqURpPa38Z8Hk8f0OiWBD3pLI3P1ZJsKA5Lp1SwRzTek3eNp-USVDYFWv_wd1DA-eo3JMeideSI07XefM9WWfFXY_YwNDnrFckChOM7Sz9YFVwA4K_k6cwDzWr3uoos7MShZhsQ12KnnSAwWbzfS5Hc5DN1qhwCzcFgtjkSfwNuBUAUc8UglA0KJvpUwCQbFbq0Go7KmXQW_F_d-o4hO9SBlLNhYd9Zygm1RYQDdjZ2XST2Ycrvzj5fnSQmS64kEH6mKRDDnSo71c.qRhPhop6Hg62xKWrfv-os_BW-zPhdOaudbk2MyTviZY&dib_tag=se&keywords=corelle+shadow+iris&qid=1711323028&sr=8-7
So inspiring! Where can I buy your salt and pepper grinder from please?
www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BQVVSBCB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 I was given 1 for a review I bought a 2nd set for the table :) I love that they are rechargeable
Wow, that looked scrumptious!! What a great start for your new gadget! I have a hint for you, in the recipe you should mention how you decreased the temperature and the time and put a big happy face to show you how delicious it was!! Have a great evening!
I did say 350 at the 17 but I can write it thank you
Mmmmmmm, I know that meal was delicious.
IF you happen to see the Dutch oven go on sale can you let me know and I can pick it up I try not to shop more than I already do :)
I’ve got one of those whirly gigs you call Ialways end up spraying my tiles etc lol 😃😅
It can spray everything for sure Mark said Ness call it a frother I always call it a whirlygig
Black Friday is $179. I might have to get one.
Great deal I would pic one up for sure
They make work the cook the same but don't work the same
Looks really great..But try not to use metal forks or spoons. Less scratches to pans.
I dont normally use metal either I should of pre grabbed a plastic fork
Rice should be always rinsed.
Sometimes I just dont :(
