      You didnt get it did you? The gen 6's are much better. The Fuel EX 2023 model's have much better geometry for uphill and downhill.

      @@michaelmichaelagnew8503 ended up the Top Fuel 2022, Al frame. I am 54 and my days of dropping off 6ft over hangs are done and do not need the extra travel that comes with the Fuel EX.

    • @michaelmichaelagnew8503
      @michaelmichaelagnew8503 Год назад

      @@Blake953 gosh id never do 6ft drops with a fuel EX. You want an enduro bike specifically made for that or you will snap your frame.

      @@TalalipopMTB Ik this isn’t as easy as a bike component comparison but next time you should go into more detail about shock orientation between like all the bike brands. Probably easiest with specialized. I just find that really interesting/confusing so you will prob clear that up with a lot of people.

    Great video! I am looking at a new bike finally! I have a 2011 Giant Anthem X29er but wanting to move back to Trek. My area for riding is rocky and technical but occasionally go to Bentonville Arkansas where the trails are flowing and somewhat technical for sure in areas. I am looking at the top fuel 9.8 and the fuel ex8. Any suggestions? I’m 60 yrs old weigh 200 so I don’t go real fast or race

  • @Alex-sh7qw

    honestly because of the top fuels newer geometry, currently imo its more capable than the fuel ex, especially if you put a 130 travel fork on it.

    • @TalalipopMTB
      @TalalipopMTB  Год назад +1

      I’d say the fuel ex is more capable now. The remedy is actually getting fully discontinued and it’s a bit dated frame wise now as well. Still a cool bike that’s very capable, but the new fuel is insane

    Good video. There's a lot of overlap between the top fuel and fuel ex right now. Maybe it will change when the new fuel ex bikes come out, but right now I would say the top fuel is the better overall bike than the fuel ex, as the top fuel has the newer designs.

    Was wondering why the Fuel EX didn't look right its the Gen 5 not the Gen 6. The Gen 5 is closer to an XC while the Gen 6 can do both XC and downhill well. Noticed this video is right before the Gen 6 models came out. Love to see a new version of this video.
