    To all those that say geo engineering & weather manipulation are rubbish, well maybe it is or maybe it isn't. All I know is yiu only get one chance to plant your crops. Don't be tempted to go early just because of warm weather. Frosts still happen in November. It's time to put your drought plan on order ,of your on the land. Goodluck❤

      I have taken plenty of photos and vids of chemtrails in west Gippsland this month(august).. it’s awful we’ve had no rain up until yesterday we received 10mm.. it definitely happens I watch the chemicals dispersing in the sky falling onto my veggie garden into my water tank.. we’ve hardly got any bees in the garden it’s sad and depressing when I can see what is happening with my own eyes.. I will keep watching the sky and take can my photos I have great collection.. just bastards with all the lies about fake climate change..

    Greetings from Northern Country, VIC, about 15 km East of the Mallee. There's no real rain here, either. We do Permaculture farming, so my place is a bit greener than most, but it's condensation, not deep soil moisture. I put in a drip irrigation system last Summer/Autumn as well, so that's helping me, but the dams are not as full as they should be, (one should be constantly overflowing, this time of year, and it's empty!). Because of this, I'm praying for rain, as I'm sure you are, as well.
    Stubble definitely helps, anything to stop the sunshine from drying out the soil and help provide a substrate for all that lovely, golden condensation!
    P. S. Congratulations on the 17mm of rain! We got about 7mm of rain out of that system, so it's better than nothing, but I'm still praying to God for that Dam Filler that we so desperately need!
    P. P. S. Goodonya for the video, Subbed, liked and notifications clicked!

    A cool interesting video Henry. Do you reckon you could do a Cole the cornstar on Canola in a dry year like this and go through some numbers on cost vs return/breakeven as opposed to growing beans or vetch as a break crop being less of a gamble...

    Hopefully this front coming through WA this morning has some steam left in it when it gets to your region. It just dumped 60mm on busselton overnight and is about to hit here in the Great Southern.
    It's been a dry winter here but nothing on the drought you are experiencing.

    Hi Henry, Thanks for the update. It's good to see you remaining positive. It must be difficult. Have you had a word to Him upstairs? If you let Him know your feelings the answer may surprise you. Enjoyed the video about the big rig. Once it's passed its roadworthy are you going to drive it or will it be a hired driver? Seems like you have a big plan for the rig. Maybe you should have been a meteorologist! If you don't mind I may have a word with Him up there and mention you and your enterprise. Looking forward to the upcoming posts.

    I farm in the southern riverina in nsw and we had a dry start of the season as well, although since june we have been getting some good rain and our crops have started to recover and look quite good with some good potential pending a favorable spring.
    From my understanding with canola is it has a stress mechanism where it will go into its reproductive cycle under severe stress. We have seen this in drought as well as waterlogging. Also depending on your variety it can flower for a couple of months with enough moisture so there is still a chance it will recover to a point.
    Also funnily enough I also tipped out 17mm of rain this morning before watching this.

      @christhomas089 Yeah, being indeterminate it can keep producing flowers as long as the season is favourable. 17mm is the biggest rain here in 6 months... crazy.

    • @lockvalleyfarms981
      @lockvalleyfarms981  2 месяца назад

      @ross3282 if we had of had some seasonal rain and a season break, not a mid August break, the canola would be cabbaged out and well on the way to flowering.

    Why dont Farmers build large Dams to control moisture , in 10 years or 1 year i will be watching tv news about flood damage to farms . It seems like a mentality bye now that restricts forward thinking , Planning . Humans dont live long enough for your Dad to ask about drought , His Grandfather his Dad and your Dad had personal recorded evidence your Dads thoughts would be viable . Respect i have for Farmers , thank you. Paying specialists for informed opinions on mother nature , id save that generational moneys and build water infrastructures.

    • @lockvalleyfarms981
      @lockvalleyfarms981  2 месяца назад

      @motozz8258 we have small dams around the farm, and a lot of them have been pushed in because we never get enough rain to fill them. If we do get enough rain to put water in them, it all evaporates in the summer anyway. My ancestors put in lots of dams and contour banks to stop water erosion. Now we get enough rain to run water, maybe 1 in 5 years. Farming practices have changed so much. Even in Dads early days, it was full tillage for weed control and leave everything bare. With stubble retention and no till cropping, we don't have the same problems.
