Hello, I would like to know what kind of fabric you use so that it does not fray when you make the strips, here in Mexico when I make strips of cloth the edges are frayed, or you put some sealant on the fabric so that this does not happen, or definitely with the As time goes by, the threads of the fabric come out, it is a great doubt that I have, so I do not dare to make a mat with pieces of fabric, I really like your videos, you explain perfectly well, greetings from Guanajuato, Mexico, success thousands
I like to use old sheets. You can tear them and while they may shed a few strings, they are very sturdy. If I use fabric I use a firm cotton. I cut fabric rather than tear it. If you pack your twining down tightly you shouldn't have pieces coming out. Every rug will shed a few strings but should quit soon. Thanks for watching my videos! Good luck with your weaving!
Thank you Caroline, this is such a good tutorial.
You are so welcome!
