    Love the message. Love the questions and comments for we all are a searching humanity. Dont like the divisive arguments. Just let your heart follow how Jesus saw people and treated outsiders. Scripture is a 2 edged sword. Be careful how you use it. Just saying.

    The gospel does in fact teach the reconciliation of the entire cosmos and a totally renewed world. What Brad Jersak doesn't seem to mention is that the wicked - and evil - are no longer there because they have been destroyed and have disappeared.

    • @jcismyall
      @jcismyall Год назад +2

      Are they destroyed by the Consuming Fire... which is God Himself? In that, there is Divine refinement for REDEMPTION not for nonexistence. That’s LOVE.

    • @Denise0752
      @Denise0752 Год назад +3

      If anyone is destroyed then it cannot be said there is a reconciliation of the entire cosmos. When the bible verses say "reconciliation of ALL things, and Jesus says "When I am lifted up I will draw ALL man to myself". it doesn't say except the wicked. Bible says "Jesus is the savior of ALL men, especially those who believe"

      @@jcismyallso Hitler gets refined and goes to heaven? What about Mao? Stalin? Would it be love to not punish a child rapist and send them to prison but instead set them free? I’m glad God is the one running the universe.

    This is ‘another’ gospel and not the gospel of Christ.
    ‘But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. (Galatians 1:8-9, NKJV)

    So I just got told on the comment section of a RUclips video that I am going to burn in hell for being a Universalist, and making the comment that God loves everybody. What a bizarre time we live in.

      For sure god loves everyone and wants all to be saved. But scripture clearly indicates not all will be saved.

      @@andyyoung6574 The Bible says nothing clearly. So there's that. Then there is the issue that the words used to describe hell have absolutely nothing to do with the hell commonly believed in today in evangelical circles. There are far too many problems with the modern belief that simply cannot be ignored. Not once is hell mentioned in the Acts of the Apostles. It's not mentioned in the Nicene creed, and whilst some of the early Church appeared to believe in hell, an overwhelming majority of the early Church had a Universalist view on Salvation. I'm not here to try and argue or piss anyone off. Once upon a time I too believed in the evangelical view of hell, but over time I realised I was actually believing in a heresy that completely diluted the insatiable fire of love in God's heart for all. Anyways just giving my view

      @@andyyoung6574 “as all died in Adam, so shall all be raised in Christ.” 1 Cor 15
      “For as through the disobedience of one man all were made sinners, so shall all through obedience of one man Christ be raised to eternal life.” - Romans 5:18-19
      “And I when I am lifted up will draw ALL people to myself.” John 12:32
      “The lamb of God who takes away the sins of the WORLD.” John 1: 29
      “He has bound all people to sin that he may have mercy on all.” Romans 11:32
      He desires all to be saved (1 Timothy 2:4; 2 Peter 3:9; Ezekiel 18:23; Matthew 23:37).
      “And when he has set his mind to something, who can stand against him?” - job 23:13
      “He does what he wills - numbers 23:19
      “He is the savior of ALL people, especially those who believe.” But not exclusively. - 1 Timothy 4:10,
      “Every knee will bow and every tongue on earth, in heaven and under the earth will profess Jesus as Lord.” - phill 2:11
      “And if you profess Jesus as Lord you will be saved” - Roman’s 10:9
      The Bible makes several things clear besides correction or punishment. The Bible also makes clear that God wants all to be saved and once he wills something he will do it. When you realize that, you realize there are other ways of interpreting the hell texts that make perfect sense of them. But there is no other way of interpreting the universal texts that don’t leave huge logical holes and bad theology in their wake. We have to let the Holy Spirit lead us. Not traditions we inherited from men with an agenda.
      Ps I didn’t even name half of the texts and chapters that specifically clearly state universal salvation. There’s tons and tons if you read your Bible without trying to correct God and limit his mercy which “endures forever.”

      @@thomasandrews9086 thanks for taking the time to write this. I’ve seen a number of these verses used to justify universalism but often ALL means Jews and gentiles. Or those who have faith in Christ. They are not evidence of universalism. Jesus speaks of the narrow gate, Lazarus and the rich man, Paul explains and qualifies salvation for those who believe, separation of wheat and chaff, and the clear message of the gospels and the epistles is of the elect, the believers and distinction made between non believers. Revelations presents this reality as well. When I have more time I’ll explain more fully the verses you mentioned along with verses and clear context that illustrate that unless we trust in Jesus and accept his forgiveness and the penalty he paid then we will not be with him after we die. The main and plain of scripture would simply look very different if universalism were true.

      How do you interpret Jesus telling about the rich ruler and Lazarus? The chasm between them to prevent people crossing from a place of torment to a place with Abraham and the angels.
