BATTERY CHAINSAW NOT WORKING

- Two times my battery chainsaw not working left me wanting a gas saw back in my hands. Luckily, this time I figured out the problem was I accidentally engaged the chain break. The previous time I was using the chainsaw when the outdoor temperature was too cold for either the saw or the battery.
Common causes of a battery chainsaw not working are either the chain break being engaged or using the saw in cold temperatures.
Because battery chainsaws don’t have a motor running you can’t hear the resistance on the engine when the chain brake is engaged. Hence, you press the button to start cutting, and the saw remains quiet, and nothing happens. This is quite troubling the first few times it happens, but eventually, you know the signs to look for when your battery chainsaw not working.

Oh my goodness! Thank you! I just bought a new Echo and couldn't get it to turn on and didn't realize the hand guard was engaged. I was ready to take it back to Home Depot. Glad I found your video!

That's the second time the little flashing light got me. There's no noise like with a gas saw to know it's running so your mind goes to the worst possible scenario.
everyone makes "dumb" mistakes here and there, me included. alas, not everybody acknowledges it like you did though nor would they use it to help others in case it happens to them. 😼👌
