I’m no Harvard grad, but I truly appreciate both of your neutrality. I like just being educated…but I can’t help but have a little fear of the other privacy issues…as part of the Alphabet Mafia, I just wonder have far they can take it…maybe not today or tomorrow but 2 to 5 years from now.

The dissent had a very similar concern: how far can this slippery slope go?

So I think many of the rights based on a right to privacy are good, but I find the legal reasoning for the right to privacy very questionable. It isn't an easy situation because the integrity of the supreme court is key to our democracy.

Im sorry this is a bit off topic, but a question I’ve had for a while came up during this video. Would the exception for marijuana be that if you live in Alabama, but go to California to smoke weed, then you could still face the repercussions of a positive drug test back in your home state of Alabama?

Can you please go in detail on if/how ectopic and miscarriage management will be affected by the bans?

I’m under the impression that abortion is completely banned in those certain states, no exceptions? Including an ectopic pregnancy? I’m confused if there’s exceptions for circumstances like that or not.

All of the trigger laws include carve outs for if the life of the pregnant woman is at risk (as it often is, or can be, during ectopic pregnancies). Some, but not all, of those trigger laws also include carve outs for “the health of” or any “harm to” the pregnant woman.
Proponents of these trigger laws say that these carve outs should prevent concerns about the laws fatally affecting pregnant women. Critics say that these clauses are too vague and introduce too much uncertainty (e.g. what if the risk of maternal death is 90% - is that high enough, or does it have to be 100%?)

I still find it fascinating how we seem to ignore the 9th amendment.

Does going across state lines count as interstate commerce? If so wouldn’t gibbons v ogden mean that only the federal government has jurisdiction over regulating that.
