BEST PartyCore band EVER, that walks in this earth, in this time !!!!
Electric Callboy (formerly known as Eskimo Callboy) is a German electronicore band formed in Castrop-Rauxel in 2010. They take a more relaxed approach to the genre, and are known for their comedic songs, live shows and videos.
I'll say this, if you want a smile on your face, TURN THIS THING UP and let's ride !!!!!
There is no Party without EC !!!!!

Considered electronicore, some just call it partycore. They are German, formed in 2010 as Eskimo Callboy, they changed the name a couple years ago when they found out that the word Eskimo is offensive to some. This is the first single , in 2020, with new clean vocalist Nico. Kevin does the harsh, and some keyboards. Pascal (rhythm guitar) and his brother produce the videos. David, on drums, is always fun to keep an eye on. Daniel H. on lead guitar, and Daniel K. on bass. As you see, they don't take themselves too seriously, but they can play.
9 of the 10 songs, from the 2022 6th album Tekkno, have music videos. Try "Pump It", or "We Got the Moves"

    Here is how it works:
You listen to Electric Callboy, you like Electric Callboy, you will watch more from Electric Callboy.
Sooner or later you will find out that there are more versions of Hypa Hypa. You will watch those other versions and you like them.
You will find out, there is one version with a band called "Saltatio Mortis". You will love this version and you are going to watch more Videos from Saltatio Mortis.
You will like them very much and you want to watch more from this genre called Medieval Metal.
You will find out there is a band called "Feuerschwanz", you will watch those Videos and you will like them, too!

Welcome to partycore! Get ready to laugh and be hyped for every song. They are extremely funny, talented, and down to Earth dudes, and it shows in their music.
Once you do reactions to more of their songs and get a good feel for their vibe, see if you can catch the way the lead singers, Nico and Kevin, harmonize their harsh vocals. Hint: it's easier to notice in their live performances and easy to miss in their produced tracks because of the layering effects... which is a great reason to react to their live videos as well 😉. Definitely watch their official videos first, though, because they are gold.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to be in a bad mood after watching and Electric Callboy music video. They are the epitome of "We don't take ourselves seriously, but we take what we do seriously". They are a ton of fun. We Got the Moves, Pump It, Spaceman, Tekkno Train, Hurrikan and their cover of Every Time We Touch are all a blast. But if you want a more serious song/video, I suggest like... Parasite, Mindreader or maybe even Crystals, with their old singer, Sushi

It is always great to witness someone see EC Video for the first time. The first look of feeling trolled, until the metal kicks in and then the shock how it turns, until the enjoyment. :) The laughter it produced is always a bright light in the day.
Electric Callboy is a Band that exites longer time before Hypa Hype. Until after, I think "Pump it", the where named "Eskimo Callboy", but they dived into the topic of the word "Eskimo", and finding that it is derogating for Inuit folk, so they changed their name. Shortly before Hypa Hype the Band changed their front singer, and went to this new style of metal core, so older songs are more tame in sound, and are kind of different style of music. So I think it is not unfitting, that they also changed the name in the process after the transition to this awesomeness they are now.
With "Hypa Hypa" they did collabs for different Versions of the songs. Better said that different german artists covered Hypa Hypa and Electric Callboy worked with them. From that list, my personal favorites are:
    - Electric Callboy featuring @THEBOSSHOSS - Hypa Hypa
    - WBTBWB vs. Electric Callboy - Hypa Hypa
(WBTBWB stands for "We butter the bread with butter")
    - Saltatio Mortis vs. Electric Callboy - Hypa Hypa
After Hypa Hypa there where much more songs that are as crazy and as fun as Hypa Hypa, just to name songs, I remember (and I certainly forgot some):
    - We got the moves
    - Pump it
    - Hurrikan
    - Spaceman
    - Tekkno Train
    - Everytime we touch (Tekkno Version)
Everytime you need some hyppiniess, I can recommend to listen to Electric Callboy. :)
Additionally, if you like Music, that brings fon, and you love a good laugh, I'll recommend to check out "Nanowar of steel" from italy. Their name is a parody of the Bandnames "ManOWar" (wow, what a surprise!) and "Rhapsody of fire".
Here I heartwarmingly can recommend the Songs "Valhalleluja", "Uranus", "Norwegian Reggaeton" and "Pasadena 1994" as introductions. As they all foru a bit of different, and show a versatility.

    • @lotog692
      @lotog692 6 месяцев назад

The Hypa Hypa versions from the EP are all good. Look at Axel One including Kevin and Nico's Asterix and Obelix interpretation of swanlake. Or the 257ers, although I got to admit, that this version is probably not so funny, when you don't understand the text and it comes w/o subs unfortunately. And I also like Saschas version. Kind of. :)
But WBTBWB and Saltatio Mortis are probably the best, especially since this is an HM channel and the other versions, while begin good, are not HM.

Great fun!! They released this song summer 2020 - and we really needed this. They had 10 collabs with other German bands indifferent styles and flooded RUclips with EC vs. .. or EC ft. .. a Hypa Hypa cover. So much worth checking out: 'Sasha' (pop rock), 'Saltatio Mortis' (folk metal), 'WBTBWB' (deathcore), 'The BossHoss' (country). Next stops: We Got The Moves, Pump It, Spaceman... and see where this Tekkno Train leads you. They were very very productive, so a lot to explore :)
Check out their BTS videos, to get some feel for their zeal and creativity.
At their concerts the whole venue turns into one great moshpit, check out some of their live stuff to enjoy the atmosphere.

Great reaction, always nice to see people getting immediately what this is about: having fun with heavy music.
Founded in 2010 (as Eskimo Callboy) they were a more or less standard metalcore band for almost ten years, with a mostly humorous, or at least light hearted attitude. Early in 2020, the original lead singer Sushi left to found a new project named Ghostkid. They casted Nico as the new clean singer and decided to introduce him to the fans with a no holds barred - all in - over the top song and video, which was Hypa Hypa (mission accomplished I guess). While most of their material since is uplifting trancecore like this, they do have some more serious songs too. Besides the vocalist, there was only one line up change: in 2012 original drummer Micha left in friendship out of private reasons and current drummer David joined. In 2022, Micha filled in for a live performance on a German tv-show (they played Pump It) as David was on a humanitary mission at the Polish-Ukranian border. Other members are:
Kevin on harsh vocals, sometimes keyboards or piano,
Daniel H. on guitar, he does the majority of their programming and production,
    Daniel K. on bass guitar,
Pascal on guitar, he and his brother Olli run a videography company which produces the majority of EC's videos.
Recommendation: HYPA HYPA LIVE in Cologne (Lanxess Arena 2023 - TEKKNO TOUR)
And as you've said you are into guitars, check out one (or both) of the projects of Hans Platz, either the German medieval metal band Feuerschwanz (song recommendation Bastard von Asgard or Ultima Nocte [Latin for Last Night/ Final Night], as it has a really nice solo section) or the multi national symphonic metal band The Dark Side Of The Moon (song recommendation The Gates of Time). Not only does Hans look like a wizard, he does magic on his instrument too.

Oh Bill - there's so many things you need to catch up on. ;-) Originally they called themselves Eskimo Callboy, changed for PC reasons, obviously. So, next on your list should be: We got the Moves / Spaceman / Pump it /Hypa Hypa (the alternative versions with Sasha, with Saltatio Mortis and with We Butter the Bread with Butter) / F*ckboi (strongly recommended) / Hurrikan and MC Thunder Parts I and II (two older songs but funny as hell).
For the real, no-joke Callboys, go for the incredible "Mindreader"! After that, you should be covered in terms of their top songs. You'll learn to appreciate them more with every f... in song! Such amazing variety, hidden behind an avalanche of jokes.

@@BemusingBill, I will see them for my first time in Hannover, Germany on this Saturday. I am a Metal Guy since i was 14 (1988) but i love their Style of Music. These days i'm more open to other styles of music.
You will see them too. Excited to watch other Reactions from you.

You'll get a lot of recommendations for their more popular songs but their song mindreader is outstanding and their song Hurrikan which was essentially a middle finger to Eurovision after being rejected from competing. All of their songs are amazing and they've got some breakdowns that even some metalcore bands can only dream of.

Thank you! That is interesting about Eurovision. I've only recently heard about it through another video that I just posted by the band Erina and the Elementals, who made into the finals. I would love to check out more stuff from them. They have a great sound, very dynamic and genre defying. I really appreciate the recommendations. 🤘❤️🤘

    This came out in 2020
then the pandemic hit and touring was cancelled
so what do a group of bored German musicians do?
They collaborate with other musicians and make
SEVEN covers of Hypa Hypa in various styles

The aesthetics of the video are impossible to really understand for people who know nothing about Germany in the 90s.
Back in the late 80s and early 90s the German coal and steel industries went belly up and hundreds of thousands of working class dudes who had thought they would be working in those industries like their fathers and grandfathers had, found themselves without much perspective.
That kind of created a whole generation of "peaked in high school"-type dudes who couldn't let go of their youth in the 80s and were still running around like that (mullets, handlebar mustaches aso.) till way into the 90s, long after that had stopped being fashionable.
So in the 90s (when the guys in that band were kids) you had all those 30 to 40 year old, beer guzzling working class blokes hanging around techno rave parties and dance clubs, looking like time travelers from the 80s and trying to pick up chicks half their age.
That is what this song and the video are making fun of and that is why it makes sense that the video mixes tropes from the 80s and 90s (Boy Band music, techno, aso.) and why the dudes look like from the 80s while the chick looks like a 90s raver girl.
Ah and one other piece of explanation: The dancing people at the end of the video are a bunch of bigger German RUclipsrs who are friends with the band.

Happy to see you’ve boarded the TEKKNO Train 🩷🩵💛💜❤️ I got on it last oktober and loving the ride. Besides fun music and videos the EC guys are awesome musicians and super nice guys from what I’ve heard and seen from them. They have a lot of content in the form of vlogs and behind the scenes videos on their RUclips channel. Plus a whole lot of music videos (9 from the last album TEKKNO alone ), my personal favourite songs are TEKKNO train, Parasite and Castro x Spandau.
    So much to discover.
I would actually suggest to start maybe in chronological order of the video’s coming out that would be Hate/Love next ( non comedic ) and Castrop x Spandau ( collaboration with Kalle Koshinsky, in German) I’m not a fan of doing all the Hypa Hypa versions early on in the journey to prevent Hypa overload 😂
Sorry for the long long comment 😇
