Anybody who interviews Earl in the future, respectfully, just watch a couple of his past interviews beforehand cus y’all seem to get hung up for at least 30min on the same Samoa/Doris/OF topics every time. Maybe focus on the music and stuff since then. Considering it’s been a decade plus. He has said all he can say on it. It’s journalistically lazy at this point.
I was thinking the same thing like in almost every other Earl interview they seem to wanna get him to repeat exactly what he’s been saying for the past 10 years lmfao
Yeah I agree, for the people that enjoy and are interested in his more recent escapades, u sorta go tone deaf to the same questions reiterated but ultimately have respect for the answers given. Like was previously mentioned, just kinda low hanging fruit journalist wise, but props still
This legend has made so much progress and fought through so many struggles with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and just generally feeling like you belong nowhere but everywhere at the same time. I love every time i see his face it always makes me smile im 27 now ive been here from the jump ive grown up with him. I really wish yall wouldve let him speak about now and the future. Its a shame hes so often misunderstood and put into a box. If anything he makes boxes for other people so they can handle being alive.
Great comment. He mentioned this in another interview too, talking about something like "If you have implicit trust in me as the driver of the car and not trip on where we're going, then we can have some more fun"
I'm not gonna lie, this is a very good interview solely based on earl's ability to effectively articulate his thoughts into word and due to his respect for interviewer. The questions themselves and interviewer's inability to pick up on earl's humor make this sort of a difficult piece of content to digest when really it's perfectly set up to be a very amazing interview. Still good though.
Whenever I see an interview with sweatshirt, I click it. I think it’s always important as a creative myself and for the greater good of the creative community we need to hear him speak even if it seems to be repetitive the interviewer. Marcus wrote a beautiful piece that was included in the vinyl for the album sick, redundant and respectable because of the youth, not knowing the origins of Earl and having the attention span of a squirrel so that being said, this is a very important interview.
I thought Doris was his grandmother that passed away that he mentions multiple times like on Pre with vince and some other joints i cant remember right now
Some people can really have a great conversation with Earl. This is really just an Interview. It's not bad but this isn't my first rodeo either so i know his full potential isn't this
Imagine having the catalog that earl has built over the last decade and then only talking about odd future days. No charisma, no emotion, no sense of humor, like bruh you dont have to be nardwaur but please give us an ounce of real journalism please
Noooooo I'm mad he cut his dreads. And earl had his own identity when OF was over. He really went hard. Also his voice and tone give me I don't wanna talk vibes😂

Felt like an old head apology interview because of the way all the OF artist outcome has been on output once they seen past the antics
It’s literally an interview because of the 10 year anniversary of Doris? Y wouldn’t odd future come up?

The interviewer could not tell when bro was joking 😂
Fr he was cracking jokes and everyone was just like 😐

I love earl bc his music seems so serious but he says shit like “this was supposed to be the greatest summer ever, forever..”
As far as I''m concerned that a very serious statement...

earl looking healthy and at peace we love to see it
Earl is like a really nice classic car. He may not start right away or accelerate very fast, but once he gets going, it's a smooth smooth ride.
Great comment. He mentioned this in another interview too, talking about something like "If you have implicit trust in me as the driver of the car and not trip on where we're going, then we can have some more fun"
s/o to Earl for not being ashamed of his 🇿🇦 roots
This feels like an interview with someone who’s stuck in 2013 and a modern day artist..
We need the eric the young gawd interview
A very worthwhile watch. Even tho some of the questions are an eye roll, earl gives great insight and honest answers
earl is an artist's artist for real...his journey sounds like the harsher journey most artists dont want to take
HE’s able to see him Self (with a capital S , love is just love ..
