... yes it is... but is can be a real nemesis for a collector - easy to bucket collect, all an author's works, and all similar and cited... far far too easy to have a list of a few thousand in less than an hour, and you haven't read anything. : )))) What would have taken at least a say in the stacks with the paper versions of citation indexes... is minutes away. : ))))
this literally could not have come at a better time. i’m working on an undergrad research project and i’ve been struggling to find and organize sources, and this is exactly the missing piece in my work flow i’ve been looking for! thank you so much!
Research paper discovery and knowledge management will never be the same since I discovered your channel. Great content, lots of useful info and you have the kind of pragmatic, optimization-oriented mindset I resonate with.
One more great video! Thanks Bryan. I'm teaching a class named Research Workshop to students from Master in Administration in Universidade Federal Fluminense (Brazil) and I'm using several of your videos. I've developed a complete workflow to support academic research from ETL thru Zettelkasten to writing. I'll share with you that workflow soon. Congrats!
Nice video but some corrections. scite zotero plugin has nothing to do with getting full text. That plugin pulls in scite citation type data. As far as I know the "Find availability PDF" is built-in for Zotero. Works only for papers with free copies.
ah! thank you for the clarification, the available pdf's can also be hooked up to the sci-hub plugin as well i believe so that non-free papers can also be added
If you select from the tick box in RR. It is a great way to shift papers new sub-collection - sub by name only, as nested collections don't seem to happen in RR yet, whilst looking at the links/map.
Collection also seems to mean something slightly different - in Z papers can exist outside a collection and in several - but papers must be in 1 collection at least in RR.
Thanks for this video and the other Research Rabbit video. I had heard of both apps before but didn't get their utility, now I do and am off to try them. Great, informative video
Really great video Bryan. My one workflow issue I have at the moment is the ability to organize my pdf highlights into a system that I can write from. I have been testing out obsidian and scrivener. Could you recommend one of your videos that has a good flow to go to each software?
Hey Bryan! Thank you for the lovely content- it has helped me a lot. If it's ok to ask, how did you achieve your horizontal rule design? I couldn't find an appropriate tutorial on the web, or in the channel. Any chance for some guidance? Thanks a lot!
@@BryanJenks I downloaded it, but I could not find how to implement it on its own since I found no css snippet I could use in the folder. Is there a way to pull that part specifically?
This is really neat. I'm attempting to do a sync with a Zotero collection that is in a Group Library instead of my personal library. Do you know if this feature is available? When I click on "Import Zotero Collection" in Research Rabbit none of my group libraries/collections show up.
I've never seen research rabbit before but it looks awesome!
It is!

Glad it was helpful!

Thats awesome! How are the videos being used in your material?! id love to hear more :)
Thank you for all the tips. Both about Rabbit Research and the other one that we will not speak of.
My pleasure :)

@@BryanJenks Re: Non-free papers. You are correct, just don't want to get in trouble by mentioning that.....
This is incredible!!
Thank you Bryan
Glad you liked it!
This is an awsome video. Great set of tools... Explained very well. Thanks

And yes - RR - thanks for this and for Bryan's adds.
This is amazing video Bryan! I really loved it. I am gonna go and try it right away
have fun!
very very useful video!! well explained! Thnak you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for your calm and very well organized video :)
Glad you liked it!
thanks! another great idea to make researching and notetaking a lot less tedious!
♥️
Only 2 collections? Is this a different account or are you not doing much research at the moment...?

i havent made any videos on scrivener, sorry! my zotero videos should cover the obsidian portion of the workflow

It’s in my css theme I give away
@@BryanJenks I downloaded it, but I could not find how to implement it on its own since I found no css snippet I could use in the folder. Is there a way to pull that part specifically?
@@Daniel-D-Teach not a snippet, its in the theme file. there's a table of content in there as well

i dont think they work with group libraries just yet, not sure, its been a while since i talked with the team
Export your group collection as a ris file to desktop and try. Or import into a new folder in my library and then sync....
I am scared, it's too powerful :D
its amaziiiiiiing
really excited about this! only real question: is research rabbit only for the sciences or for humanities too?
any academic email will suffice :)
@@BryanJenks oh no i mean in regards to the kinds of articles you're able to find on it
@@vrixphillips oh they use several massive paper repositories, you shouldn't be limited by any means
Which is the best channel to support you ? I subscribed to RUclips but they take 30%.
❤ Github sponsors, they take no cuts :)

Thanks a lot - this is amazing
You're very welcome!
Please do not use dark mode when you do your video, i can’t see clearly. Anyway your videos are good.
Noted!
I don't think I am syncing. The Z next to my collection is no a red Z. What am I doing wrong?
It syncs with my online Zotero but not on my local computer.
thats what its meant to do because the local copy is supposed to sync with zotero sync as well
How to get into reasearch rabbit without an academic ID ?
email the team directly :)
@@BryanJenks Thanks for the tip 🙏.
3:25 which tool is he using to browse the pdf?
Highlights, its a mac app
The Scite add on I installed doesn't have the pdf function. Am I wrong?
look at sci hub
@@BryanJenks Thanks man!
@@BryanJenks knows the cheat codes for this integration 👀
Is there an Android app?
theres no RR app
Unfortunately I can't sign up to research rabbit :(
you have to use your institutional email address
And if you don’t have an institutional email, reach out to the team directly

TALLGUYJENKS :)
Too bad they don't have EndNote support
Not sure but its proabably due to Zotero being open source and many of the other programs like mendeley et. al. being closed source
@@BryanJenks Makes total sense. I figured I can just import to EndNote as well
