    Medications aren't generally known for creating problems at the airport. There are millions of people who travel around with chronic medication conditions. Medication is also cheaper to buy in Thailand.

    👍👍👍ADDITIONAL NOTE: not mention by the author is that the maximum power bank allowed in carry on luggage is 32000mnh in Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport but not in Vietnam or Australia airports, any higher than that will be confiscated at the security check in gate. As in my case I had lost mine recently 😭😭😭

    I only found out about the eCigarette rule after I'd entered Thailand, had left Thailand for Laos, and was heading back to Thailand again with my eCigarette in my hand luggage. It was spotted going through the security check at Luang Prabang Airport, and I was told that I wasn't allowed to have it in either Laos or Thailand, and that they were going to confiscate it! I protested, saying that it was expensive and that I needed to keep it, and in the end they agreed to let me keep it, but they had to wrap it in bubble wrap and plenty of parcel tape first. I'd been happily using it in full view of everyone in both Bangkok and Luang Prabang, totally oblivious to the fact that what I was doing was illegal!

I would recommend registering it with the CAAT online before you come to save time and have something to show if any issue at the airport. I have brought drones into Thailand on several occasions though without any issue.

One of the airlines check-in personnel said below 249gm is allowed as it's detected as a toy drone but they warned they can't guarantee customs checkup cases. Also one of my friends recently travelled to Thailand without any permit papers and carried and flew his drone at Thailand without trouble without any trouble at customs. This way you don't run the chance of getting a fine. It is against the law and you are a guest in their country. Finally, and as you said, Thailand has an abundance of fresh fruit that is very reasonably priced. Keep making videos!

    Curious about the cigarettes.
    In Australia which has about the same limits, they give you the option to keep the excess cigarettes/tobacco but you need to pay the tax on them.
    Do they not do that in Thailand.
    Also are you talking about declared or undeclared.
    Again in Australia if you declare items and they are found to be in excess or not allowed you won't get a fine, but if you don't declare them you might get fined.

      Do you have a direct flight? Transiting through Singapore or Malaysia with it can put you in prison for years. Just buy it in Thailand it is everywhere and cheap.

    Hello,
    I have question. I am a vlogger and do landmarks photographies. I have a drone which is 249gm. Can you make a practical example what should I do for carrying them with me at Thailand?

      Must apply for flight permits and registration

    • @DorinIonescu
      @DorinIonescu 2 месяца назад

      1. Transport (checked at the airport - take the battery out of the drone, and take all your batteries with you in the cabin - take the drone out of the luggage at security as you do with the laptop)
      2. Flying (not checked at the airport) (I have a pilot license with me for small drones under 250 g)
      I register in any country where I fly and receive a number I put on the drone.
      Check the allowed flight areas on the drone supplier site and on the local site (in Greece, you also have allowed flight hours for some areas)

      The rules are international. Your home country will have the same or similar rules. 200 cigarettes, 1 litre alcohol etc. No food or live products. On gifts, the UK and EU charge import duty and VAT from as little as €50.

    When did all these little items became affective? I flew to Thailand from U.S. last November for 3 weeks and flew from Bkk to Chiang Mai and from Chiang Mai back to BKK with same items in my carry on. I had a bottle of Advils, my allergy pills (from counter), Vitamins I had phone battery bank that is 26800 Amh and a laptop power bank that is 37000 Amh (99.9Wh) all of that in my carry on and had no problem or did I just got lucky? They had me take them out they look at it and that was it, didn't say a word but thank you. Planning another trip coming up this November now I'm worried to bring the same items again, just wondering if I got lucky all those 3 times I was flying in and out of Suvarnabhumi Airport. Advil on the other hand is for head ache they should not give you any problems as some of us only take certain type of med for head ache...just saying 😁😁

    • @j134679
      @j134679 11 месяцев назад

      the usual daily meds should be fine, but its a good idea to always check whenever visiting a country for the first time especially if you have prescription ones. For the battery, it's luck - but at the same time, laptops are usually disregarded in the computation. I keep my phone power bank in a separate tiny carry-on bag (the one that has my wallet, phone, & passport; the essentials in case of emergency evacuation) so it's never a problem.

      Why would a normal tourist bring more than £15,000 (AUD$27,500) in cash to any country anyway?
      This would be an idiotic travel practice due to potential cash theft or loss. 🤔

    • @stevenlesbirel284

      You must declare cash of £10,000 or more to UK customs if you're carrying it between Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) and a country outside the UK. If you're travelling as a family or group with more than £10,000 in total (even if individuals are carrying less than that) you still need to make a declaration.

      @@davidhodgson977 A bank wire transfer is far more rational. It is zero risk as the money cannot be lost or stolen. Moreover, by not carrying large sums of cash, the traveller does not have to explain anything to customs.

    Another advice: It's not like never bring these, but no need to fill up your luggauge if it is not necessary. Basically you can buy everything in the 7-eleven stores, or another shop like Mother Marche, BigC, 24 Super Cheap or Tesco Lotus. Such as beauty products(sunlotions, facecream, deodorants, etc), or medicine, toothbrush, toohpaste or anything you need.And in every area(even in the deep countryside) you find many within 10 minutes walk.And it is so cheap and everything is good quality.But it is the same with clothes, shoes,slippers. These are not sold in the 7-eleven though, but you can get them any other shops for peanuts.The whole country is so cheap. So when you go home you will have a lot of good new things.
