***We realized after uploading that we had some audio issues. If you're using headphones make sure you use both, since the sound is only coming out of one side. :/ Sorry!!!
I just returned from a trip where I had a checked bag, a usual carry-on roller bag, and backpack for 5-day trip. Definitely over packed and had several article of clothing that didn't use yet was heading to where it was cold. Thailand sounds super nice! Thanks for the tips as would have done the whole bug spray and medicine/probiotics.
@@calliet7893 Ahh there's always a few things we never use! We're trying to get better at packing lighter. If you ever go to Thailand now you'll know what to pack! 🤗💜😘 Thanks for watching!
I seen another video that a guy made about Thailand and he says absolutely do not leave your passport with these people they will bribe you and everything else to get it back

Really helpful, appreciated, I also visits countries as I am merchany navy officer, your videos are helpful for me ,how to capture or and showing the aspects, my channel name is : ( ahsan ship wala)
Thanks
I lived in Thailand for 12 years .One point i would correct you on is to never give your passport when you are renting a scooter/small motorcycle.Just give them a photo copy plus a deposit usually one or two thousand baht .
Dont rent scooters far far better advice.
@@louisdisbury9759 I agree if you have no riding experience .
It happened to me in Koh Phangan they wouldn’t accept any other form of “deposit” other than the passport which kinda made me feel uneasy but everything went alright, they did try to blame me for a scuff that was already there on the handle good thing I took photos and video all around the scooter 😅
My tip for Thailand, don't spent too much money on luxury hotels, use it for travelling or at least for guided trips.
Makes the holiday a lot more interesting and fun, unless you are a 100% beach person.
Thanks..
I love the video, informative, fun and understandable. Myself coming from Germany lived in Portugal, the Canary Islands and since 22 years in Florida and now on my way to move to Thailand in 2021, every bit of information is appreciated.
For anyone watching, the cheap sunglasses can be dangerous. You need polarized lenses to avoid UV damage, but often cheap sunglasses are just dark plastic, which the open your iris even wider, increasing UV damage. Always get certified polarized lenses!
Thanks
For the sun?
@@spookyblack7526 Yes
Polarised lenses do not inherently filter UV
Seriously doubt that. The cheapest sunglasses I have ever seen are UV blocking. And polarized has nothing to do with UV blocking, those are 2 completely different things.
This is the best what to and not to pack video I've seen. However, there are a few things people should know. Cheap clothes often bleed a lot in the wash. Cheap sunglasses often have defects, so examine them carefully. And most important is, NEVER surrender your passport to a hotel or bike rental or any other business. NEVER! Allow them to make a copy or provide them with a copy, but NEVER let them hold your passport! They may put up a fight, but ultimately they know you can refuse. This is a common way to steal passports, so don't take that risk. Also, if you have a smart phone you can keep photos of your picture page and visa stamps on it. This will be fine for most things, if you have the passport back in your hotel room safe.
Really liked your video.. confirming some points and giving some useful info. Thanks
Bugs and mosquitoes are my biggest concerns while traveling in the tropics! Thank you thank you for your tips and advise. No where else could I find travel tips on such subjects, your video is really helpful!
In thailand you just bring your passpost money and mobile phone .they have everything you need . Please smile first when you talk to thai people beacuse thailand is land of smile . You smile it easy to talk :)
Helpful info. Thanks for putting this together for your fellow travelers' benefit.
Thanks for the info. Definitely useful stuff for all the travellers. 🙌 Smile more
Your explanation was perfect. Well structured and easy to follow. I'll certainly use this information to teach my son. Thanks a lot! ❤
Best video I've found on this topic so far. Thanks a lot guys!
Totally agree with your sunscreen and cash advice. Years ago when we didn't have an ATM card that refunded the fees, we were shocked by the ATM fees over there.
Thankyou guys for all the important reminders😊👍 It was helpful.
Awesome info and very well organised list .. thanks 😊
Bring plenty of cash or as much as you are allowed, for Canada its 10,000 in cash although I would avoid the max amount.
Next, bring a carry on suitcase, avoid big cases, bring several pairs of underwear, socks, few pairs of shorts and short sleeve shirts, shaving gear and whatever toilet accessories you prefer. Keep in mind, you will probably buy a large suitcase and more than enough stuff to fill it when you leave on your return trip home. There are shops you can walk in pay a few baht to use a computer, no need to bring a laptop or any electronics unless you have to. Go to a bank, open a bank account and put your cash in, get a bank withdrawal card and use it while you travel around Thailand. Many places will not accept credit cards, DO NOT use ATM's as they eat cards and you are stuck without one. Go to a bank and use over the counter withdrawals only.
Foreigner can open a bank account in Thailand?
@@pathao9719 I think he means a foreigner can go to a bank and the bank will handle the exchange. If he would like to have 8,000 BHT, the bank can charge his Canadian credit card (for a fee) and he will get his BHT. He can pay the credit card off once he is home.
@LaSouthernGemini he said open a bank account in Thailand put your cash in there, get withdrawal from the bank
Awesome list! I found this very helpful! Thanks!
Thank you! Glad we could help! Safe travels to Thailand! ✈️🌏

Thank you for sharing your insights. Have to say though: I was in Koh Phangan last year and found that my hotel was not quite up to date regarding outlets. I finally found an adaptor, but wasn't easy!

Thank you, from an adopted Thai trying to learn about the culture and language. Adopted by Swedish parents
I’m a physician. I was just in Thailand for the 21st time in the past 14 years. Huge advice to all….buy travelers insurance. The private hospitals are good. The public, not so much. My friend was in a motorbike accident, spent 6 days in a public hospital (he did not have insurance). Horrible experience and care. I literally ran his care in consultation with his doctor. If I was not there, my friend had would have had major issues. Also…totally agree with the motor bike rental stuff. DONT ever leave your passport, leave cash deposit. If they say they won’t take cash deposit, go to another motorbike place. Also, you definitely need an international drivers license. And always wear your helmet. They won’t ticket Thais but foreigners will get ticketed.
thanks for the info!
Thank you! That was a very helpful video.
Amazing tips thanks so much!
Deana, greetings from home. I’ll be in Thailand in 3 weeks and happened on your video. So funny! Very informative video. Thank you!

Awesome! I've been homeschooling mine in Mexico the last year. We are going to do one more year here, then headed to Thailand for a bit. No regrets!

Thank you guys im going to Thailand january
Great video. Very informative. Thanks! Anything you can add about Drone usage over there?
thank you for the info
great video, thanks.
I wish I listened to your video before I travelled. I took a charger for a motorized wheelchair which was 110 volts and I plugged it in the wall when I arrived in Thailand. Immediately my charger went up in smoke. I was able to take it to an electronic store and they fixed it for a total of 750 bhat
Thanks guys for those Info!! ;)
Great video guys you’re advice is spot on heading back for my third time in October one thing I thought of that you might have mentioned is a travel size packs of wet wipes The bathroom situation in many places even nice restaurants tend to have the towel hanging near the door that everybody has used pretty disgusting so having the wet wipes with you can definitely make your trip feel much cleaner
Thats true. I guess over time we kind of get used to barely ever drying our hands after washing them. :D But wet wipes and hand sanitizer is a great idea!
what is thew weather like in october because we are planning our holiday that time :)
Thank you very much indeed.
😄✈🗺
Love Thailand. My one tip is. If you go during March April or May... BE PREPARED. The heat is unexplainable . I am from New England in the United States and I never felt that kind of heat and humidity in my life. Other than that, it is a beautiful country and the people are extremely nice. If you ever get a chance to visit do not pass it up.
do you think i will be able to survive that heat in june? i live in south florida where it rarely gets under 75 haha but i know the humidity in thailand is crazy

Me too!
Hey I'm a Sarah too and I'm going in January! Lol
@@DeanaandPhil what about november ? Thanks
Great tips!
Thank you
Few problems with this video:
Don't buy cheap sunglasses. Ever. They provide little to no UV protection.
You *DO NOT* need an international drivers licence in Thailand, no matter what anybody tells you. So long as your licence is in English, has a photo and your country is a signatory of the 1949 UN traffic act, which most are, then you are good to go.
*NEVER* leave your passport with a rental agency or a hotel. If there is a problem they have got you by the balls and not only that but it's completely illegal not to have your passport on your person at all times as a tourist. Demand that they accept a copy or walk away and find another business.
New subscriber. Great vlog. We travel to Thailand once or twice a year for the past 8 years or so. We started with huge suitcases full of things we never needed and now we take a backpack each and travel light. I laugh when I think of what we use to take. 🤣
Haha nice!! It always amazes us how we can still pack stuff and never use it no matter what our luggage size is! 😂
i always say the next time im flying il bring only what im wearing and buy what i need but its so hard to do.
Yes, agreed... Been there a couple times, both times swore I would travel lighter NEXT time.
I'm coming back again next month, not even going to have a checked bag. Will buy whatever clothes and supplies I need when I get there.
In my carry-on bag, the qualifier is absolute necessity AND uncertainty that I can't just get it at an open market or 7/11 upon arrival. Really, that doesn't leave much.
Besides, it's good to help out the local merchants.
If you want to bring stuff BACK in a checked bag, you can usually find good quality luggage THERE for less than you would pay in the U.S.
Good info!!
dieses video war mega hilfreich danke!!
Thank you.❤️💕🇺🇸
