Hey Johnny - love the retro vid! May be time for a trash can frame to put the can into? I find few things more satisfying than working on the property - particularly when you are trying to make a big change like you are with your sight line. At 60 I too have realized I cannot act like I'm 30 on work days. I'd rather have a bear than a skunk walk up on me. We see cycles at our house - and we have the best acorns in the oaks we have seen in years and therefore we have the biggest and healthiest squirrel populations in years, which means we have several hawks and owls on the property now too. Great video - I really enjoyed this style of vid - night, on the patio, coleman lantern. Nice.
Couldn’t have asked for prettier day in and around your stomping grounds yesterday. One of the biggest and definitely my favorite XC Meet we go to every year at Green Hill. And was a fun football game for a while. Good thing about sitting up in the nosebleeds at VT is the beautiful scenery. Those bear keep coming around and Bear Claw from Jeremiah Johnson might need to make an appearance 😂
Really appreciate your sharing Johnny and your words like many others come from the heart. Your light on the bill of your cap reminds me of the one I have worn in the Ozark National forrest deer hunting going in way before daylight and hear a stick crack at a distance and clicking my light on to make sure it wasn't a black bear. I had 4 encounters that were harmless when they walked into my camp or I saw them just walking through the woods. Turkey season was when I see them most in April. Good to see you and I also share an appreciation for this weather and cooler temperatures. Hope your week is a good one.
Been watching for a while and was wondering if I would ever see ya on the Patio. Figured as old as we are I probably wouldn’t see it at 2:00AM though. 😂😂
Thanks for the video, Onion! Brings back good memories😊. Hope the bear does not get bolder and you and your family stay safe. Enjoy the weekend and happy puffing !!!
I must say, I haven’t seen any bears in our backyard but we have raccoons, crows, rabbits, and human intruders checking cars 🚘 in our neighbourhood. As to smoking a pipe late night I am tempted before the west coast rains come in.
I loved it my brother. This is great and a nice memory of when I first found your channel. Peaceful days to all

Folks see bears on their trail cams down here, but not too often. I bet it does get old cleaning up after them.
Old school=Cool School!

Perfect! It's 2:04 am here right now😄👍💨💨
By chance, you going to Richmond pipe show?
@@BlakesPipes no I don’t think I’ll be there. Wish I was but not looking like it’ll happen.
Always good to see you brother. Let us know how the experiment goes with the bears
You got it! Gonna buy some bear locks for the trash cans as well and try those.
@@2ampipeonthepatio I hope it works. They don't give up easily once they find a food source and they are pretty smart
@tramperscott yeah we gotta try that along with the ammonia and pinesol
I was gonna trade you my mole problem for your bear, but, nah, I'm good! lol
