That scene in 3rd grade gets me in the feels every time. Billy is feeling the weight of getting older and is warning the kid not to wish away the precious few remaining years of childhood.
I absolutely would not want to relive high school. I'd be the same socially awkward loner dork with no friends as I was back then. I wouldn't even care about popularity or anything.
Haha when my bio teacher brought up chlorophyl for the first time, I yelled "chlorophyl? More like boraphil" and he just started laughing his ass off hahaha
The teacher seems like a really good teacher and the students actually seem to like him and what they are learning. He seems so sad when Billy interrupts.
I love how this clip is a perfect representation of present-day post-"Jack and Jill" Adam Sandler. A guy who tries to use his humor to be "cool" for younger audiences but just ends up trying too hard and being in "loser denial."
funny how generations change, i dont know if its because of the ''point of view'' of being older but when i was in highschool, kids looked like the 20 year olds of today, and high school students of today look like prepubescent teens :P
It's funny because when I was in high school, I was 15 or 16 and I looked like I was 11 or 12. I'm 27 now and I've been told I look like I'm 15, 16, or 17!
I was looking at my sister's highschool year book from 2014 and the freshman looked like they could be seniors while freshman now could pass as 6th graders. I wonder what the hell happened.
tdtwwa13 it's actually Canadian actor Amos Crawley, Amos also voiced Arnold in season 1 of The Magic School Bus as he was replaced by Danny Tamberelli from Season 2 onwards (due to Amos' voice changing due to him going through puberty). Not mention being more recognizable as the voice of Owl from Little Bear and Russel of Stickin' Around.
Im the opposite i was the loser in High School and when I hangout with my nieces and nephews and their friends who im 10 years older than them im like Wooderson from Dazed And Confused
I'm 31 which means I was 11 when this movie came out, and those kids in the high school class were like 16 so they're around 36. Unless you meant the kids in Veronica's class. I guess they're around 30 lol
SunBunz, your now five years older! LOL! Suck it! Your so freaking old now! Your like my grandma's age! Why don't you start eating your supper at five in the PM. Wait, here that? It's the sound of death on your heels! LOL! Don'tcha feel OLLLLD?! lol I'm in my forties now.....so......
boring? I think that teacher was making it pretty simple and interesting to grasp. A lot of teachers would just read it out of the text book. Now that's boring.
These teens would've been born around 1979 or 1980. Like the seniors when I was a freshman, they were like the last wave of Gen X grunge douchebags. Even by 82-83 people start gradually seeming more Millennial (although not full blown until about 89-90).
how were they seeming millennial in the 80s when many millennials weren't born yet? Gen X was the youth of that time period. millennials weren't really a thing yet. (I'm a millennial born in '87 so we really grew up in the 90s and early 2000s)
You also need to factor in that most of the time "high school kids" cast in movies or TVs shows are actually just young looking adults in their 20s or even 30s sometimes, lol. Look at Tom Holland, who is like 25 but can still pass for a high schooler, for example. It's easier than casting actual kids with all the filming time restrictions, having to provide the time and resources for the required on-set schooling for them, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if most of "these teens" were actually in their 20s here.
+L1F3 1NVAD3R Actually no, that's not Little O'Doyle but, his classmate is O'Doyle. The youngest O'Doyle is Miss Lippy's student. However, at the end all the O'Doyle family members died by falling off a cliff and that kid at 2:15 was seen in the theater when Billy and Eric were on stage after all the O'Doyle family members died.
That’s not what it is, it’s that this type of humor is not considered funny by today’s standard. There was a time and place for it. Adam Sandler can still act like this but it won’t be funny now.
