I think it's great. It's a thing from the past being used to make today's smartphones 'better'. I don't particularly see why bezeless displays are the new fad though. I mean I like my galaxy s8 plus, don't get me wrong, but companies have gone crazy with this whole thing. I wish there was more diversity in design like how it used to be. I think this may be the best solution to the notch, I never really thought of it, but it’s convenient. They should silence the sound and every time you slide it up it should launch the camera app to prevent using it as a fidget toy
Nah, big phone companies like Apple or Samsung will not introduce function like this to their flagship phone. They almost always try to make their phone fool proof. I mean, just from a stupid square iPhone people already complain about "bendgate" and "hairgate". Can you imagine how crazy people will go if iPhone is slidable, people will scrutinize and complain on everything that could go wrong from the sliding.
This is my favourite implementation of hiding the front camera so far. However as you said people don't use front facing cameras that much. The ones that do are the kind of people that want the most fashionable products, the popular brands, so won't buy a phone that doesn't have fruit on the back. So I think the best implementation for bezel less screen is just remove the front facing camera completely
I think this is the best way for selfie camera because now you have more space to put a better camera than a phone with a notch. And also you have space for face unlock which the Honor Magic 2 have.
I think it should be a toggle-able setting. I wouldn't want to accidentally open my camera every time I'm feeling fidgety with the sliding function, probably would impact battery life

Its a good idea. May change the market. People use front facing cameras all the time and borders on phones are slowly disappearing. One issue we run into with larger and larger screens is the camera. If this will eliminate the notch then im all for it.
Had a slide phone until this year when they told me 5g wouldn't be compatible, honestly wish I still had it. The sliding and the click clack from the keyboard made it very addictive, also typing was a lot easier than with a touchscreen and autocorrect didn't kill me as much cause the touchscreen keyboard sometimes recognizes a false touch from finger heat
Mix 3 and Magic 2 use completely different mechanisms for the slider and Magic 2 was revealed before the Mix 3. Why should the Mix 3 get any credit from this innovation?
I dig it, and if you're someone like me who communicates primarily through snapchat sometimes you'll be taking hundreds of selfies a day so I honestly like this implementation a lot.
So u got 3 options for these types of sliding phone: -Mi mix 3 -Honor Magic 2 -Lenovo Z5 pro If I get a chance to buy one of those,probably going for the magic 2
mi mix 3, -€450 (base model, using base model specs) -sd845 -6gb ram -128gb storage -OLED screen -comes with fast and wireless charger -comes with case and it was the first phone released with this mechanism of sliding out the camera (im sure some 10 year old phone had it, i mean first as in first to the sliding feature we see today) so you can tell someone that when you boring person need an icebreaker that isnt interesting nor ice breaking at all (for all my awkward homies out there)

Its a good idea. May change the market. People use front facing cameras all the time and borders on phones are slowly disappearing. One issue we run into with larger and larger screens is the camera. If this will eliminate the notch then im all for it.

Had a slide phone until this year when they told me 5g wouldn't be compatible, honestly wish I still had it. The sliding and the click clack from the keyboard made it very addictive, also typing was a lot easier than with a touchscreen and autocorrect didn't kill me as much cause the touchscreen keyboard sometimes recognizes a false touch from finger heat

Well y’all have a good point. The slider can get loose and they could’ve used the chin space for cameras etc, but they did this to attract customers.
