Sven Michel Really shows how good our metal guitarists are! I listen to this every week.
A lot of the best metal out there is strongly influenced by classical music, and not just neoclassical metal. This is just amazing. I have a lot of respect for this video, especially considering I'm strictly a finger-style guitarist.

Sven Michel I’m also a metal head but I think that this is what differentiate us from pop heads or rap fans (nothing against them I just find the difference noticeable) : we still can appreciate classical music (Beethoven wrote some stuff that are metal af) or acoustic covers at their true value.

wow, brings back memories of when my dad hated hearing Iron Maiden and anything metal for that matter.
The only way I could get away with playing it was to pull out the old school acoustic and pluck this away on the nylons.
I told dad it was flamenco that I was practicing for school and he "liked" it ; )
koreye I am from spain and this didn't sound like flamenco. The flamenco is too hard to describe with words, the flamenco is a culture not a style of music only. Is truth that have a sound familiar to flamenco but is the classical guitar than makes like that

You mean "PS", friend. It stands for Post-Script, meaning "after the main text," or something close to that.
PS: Flamenco is like a culture of music, you have to feel and live it for a while!
Well, first of all, it's "Post Scriptum" and it's Latin. You know, the old roman language. And then, his "PD" maybe means "Personal Defence" as he apologize for his bad english. ;-)
In Spanish we write PD (Post Data) hence his mistake... Everyone learns something... I agree with barbarosoria 13, it's a cool cover but it sounds nothing like flamenco, well maybe a couple strummings here and there... that's it... Ben Woods is more of a Flamenco style Metal covers guitarrist.

Fantastic! Awesome arrangement and very well played. You know something, I’ve never heard the original of this song. Now I don’t want to. What you did here elevated it so much that I think I’ll have a hard time appreciating the musicality of the original. By the way, that’s a beautiful sounding instrument. What are the specs? Sounds like a cedar top. Great separation. Nice big bases sounding strings on the low end too. You ought to label your video classical instead of acoustic. Would draw more of us. I about choked on my coffee when I heard those nylon strings. Wonderful surprise. Your type of playing really needs to be more known in our community. Nice change from The standard repertoire.
