@@Valiumtino71 if the plating was done proper, there would a layer of copper amidst other layers, not sure what Beverley did back then, but most drum makers could not plate alu properly.
I have the Beverley 8120, the 14x6,5" version of the cosmic 21. It sound better than the Supraphonic I have had.

It's possible they made the Beverley cosmic in both aluminium and brass. I have one that is made of brass.
I think this is alu, because the chrome pitting. Typical.
