Wow, thanks for your kind words. I love the historical decks too - they make up the majority of my collection. So quirky and interesting. If you have any topic ideas I appreciate audience suggestions. cheers.
Thanks, Sarah. That was interesting and fun. I love pip decks and you featured several that I haven't seen for awhile. I've considered the Dinosaur Marseilles several times, but I'm trying not to add to my collection. Julie's deck looks very interesting. I think I'll have to take a closer look. Take care. Have a great day.
Thanks, Frances! I agree I'm trying not to purchase too many decks these days - I have so many good ones. I did a sample reading with Juli's deck a few months ago if that's helpful to see it in action.
That's so cool, the influence of the Tarot of Paris on the Dinosaures de Marseilles (which is such a fun deck, and I was wondering why its pips looked like that)! I've been thinking about getting a copy of the Tarot of Paris, so now I definitely will. I find the Eudes Picard pips interesting --mainly because I love the visuals of the Tarot of Balbi! I haven't really read with it, and might just allow myself to work intuitively. I find Dame Fortune's wheel tempting, at times. It was good to learn a bit more about why its pips are they way they are! Also, thanks for the links to resources. Your video does make me want to watch Kelly's Eudes Picard video again!
Aw, thanks for your kindness. Yes I like the Tarot of Paris, even this rather sloppy facsimile. There is a cleaned-up version available from Museo Internazionale dei Tarocchi. Not cheap but cleaned up and enlarged: www.museodeitarocchi.com/store/product/a096-tarocchi-francesi-xvii-secolo and here's Sheryll Smith's review of said version: tarot-heritage.com/2021/01/19/tarocchi-francesi-the-anonymous-tarot-de-paris-restored-by-il-museo-dei-tarocchi/
Hey Robin, thanks for stopping by! I did think about adding in some of the tarot/playing card hybrids but I wasn't sure if they were too....out there? for this comparison (which was long enough). But you've inspired me to make a separate video. Cheers!
P.S. I've seen the Tarot of The Witches but I don't have a copy. Perhaps you could do a VR on pips if you're interested? I know you have a lot of other interesting pip decks.
Still watching but had to pause to DROOL over that Dame Fortune's Wheel tarot! Been mulling over some stuff aboutnthe wheel of fortune's historical symbolism lately... 🤤🤤🤤😍😍😍🤓🤓🤓
Great video, great channel, just subscribed recently, and have learned a lot already. Especially love the historical decks!

@@WaterChildTarot Thanks! I'll take a look.

@@WaterChildTarot Thanks! This will help me decide which version to save up for!
I appreciate this! The Polish deck is beautiful! I was surprised you didn't show the Angel Tarot and also the Tarot of The Witches comes to mind.

Ooh! I'd love to hear more about that. Dame Fortune's Wheel is on my study list this year so I'll be making another video about it at some point.
