Nice one chaps. Been in there many times. Used to rehearse with a band in a big room upstairs early 90's. If i recall the toilets were famous for the decoration. Seem to remember amazing colours. Used to be two other massive boozers in Salford near the docks, The Salisbury and The Clowes. Both gone now as with so many more. Good work.
Great building with loads of character. Used to have swimming lessons in the baths which were behind the hotel. They actually had slipper baths there as the houses didn't have bathrooms. This was about 1977.
See if you can find some pics from when it was first infiltrated m8 unfortunately we were to late as it had been gutted. It was cracking when it still had all its features.
Sean2k good good tbf though not technically after lockdown mind since my area is in a strict local lockdown and most of Manchester is under some form of local lockdown
It is a beautiful building and a lot older that the Victorian dates we are usually given for this type of building. The thing that i love is seeing below ground level we call cellars but as your video shows is Great evidence of mud flood! the windows on the left as you descend below street level to the toilets once opened up on to the street but are now 10ft below the ground.😊
That's a classic looking building and would have very ritzy in it's day, great to hear it's being done up rather than being torn down, so it must be still basically a sound building, hopefully it will live on for another hundred years or so. Excellent clip Clarkey & co.. as usual .>>that Pommy Piss must go straight thru ya because they had a shit load of urinals down there .lol.
@@TheUrbanCollectiveWeFilmIt the reason i ask is the windows on your left when you are going downstairs must be below ground level....if you could open the windows they would open up on to mud as it is below street level. Them windows once opened up on to the street but now they are ten foot underground in mud. Windows do not belong in cellars there is no point in having them as you can not open them as they are underground. I would think somewhere along the left hand side were the windows are will be a door that also once open up on to the street when the building was first built.
A lot of the old factory,s have been demolished and the old railway tracks around the park that used to move the goods from the quay side from ships that used to dock there have disappeared once bustling with heavy engineering the work shop of industrial revolution . Nice to see the old pub being saved.
I been thinking of checking this place myself ... if you look for a horror place around manchester this is the one I see now! ... I will name this video as trailer for The Evil Within Manchester
@@TheUrbanCollectiveWeFilmIt I recently played a horror game calls The Evil Within ... that place from inside looks as scary as it was in that game ... also use of a flashlight ... that old red carpet up the stairs , fucked up floor .... man wow ...
hey just thinking ... seen that more people done similar videos as your here ... just imagine to do this again with adding like 5-6 zombie dressed people in there with a creepy music in a background???
Used to go for a Friday night pint after work about 30 years ago. Crackin' boozer !
Never too late guys, another excellent mooch!
I was born in Trafford Park. We spent years in this Pub. We celebrated most of our Birthdays etc in there. Lots of memories.

Yeah it's sad isn't it m8. Unfortunately it isn't the last either and it seems its to late for everyone to notice now...

An other cracking video......are the toilets downstairs below ground level?
Yes m8! We found some quite ancient toilets in the basement section of the latest Eccles crown theatre video too!

@@daveeboney7089 good observation Dave. The date on building says i902 but I don't buy it. More like i702.
I was the cleaner there, I've no idea why I was sacked.

Yeah, it is m8 it makes a change man! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
that building should have listing standard and lottery funding.look at the tiles, the woodwork,it's prt of the Trafford Park history
@0:36 ..good to see Burt Reynolds was once a regular there !
pmfsl
Sorry we didn't find this internally earlier but hey ho never mind the external of this building is stunning
I imagine the small empty room off the toilets was once a store cupboard for mops etc.
I think the orange sink was a sluice where the cleaner would have emptied/filled the mop buckets.
Is that just above Carrington flat fields ¿? Bit late to this.
There a similar Station Hotel in Chesterfield that they're bout to demolish.
very nice video, i subscribe your channel greetings :)
cheers man!
I went here and there was an alarm
An orb when past you on the stairs at 10:04, 10:05 it was very quick
Thanks for the highlights comment 😃
The back stairs were probably for use only by staff, or as a fire escape.
is the music pink floyd or roger waters | probably just me lol
Nope its just you lol no seriously though any music featured in our videos is allways featured somewhere in the description. Thanks for watching m8.
@@TheUrbanCollectiveWeFilmIt looools thx hun stay safe !
Would loved to have seen that place in all its glory...really don't make them like that anymore
They certainly dont m8 there are some nice pictures taken by other explorers knocking about on the web from before it was gutted!
