I'd be surprised if PSA monkeys have time to give each card more than a cursory glance. Unless they have manpower rivalling Microsoft's campus in Seattle.
I think we put far too much emphasis on grading. I intentionally buy 9s bc they are usually somewhere between 1/3 - 1/2 the price of a 10. I’d rather have two or three 9s than one 10.

Not to be a TAG fanboy, but I've watched videos of people cracking TAG slabs and resubmitting to them and TAG can tell it's a resubmit and will give it the exact same grade and serial number as before. I just think that's so much better than being allowed to resubmit a million times for the grade you want instead of the grade the card deserves.
Yeah this is a topic that often comes up. I don't think the other companies WANT to stop the resubmitting of the same cards as they just collect double/triple the money on a single card. I'd also be interested to know if TAG charges the subsequent submissions.
I can't help but think that either we all move to TAG over the next few years, and/or that PSA buys them out (what PSA does from there would be a great question). I've never graded with them, but I have researched this topic plenty and they clearly - repeat, clearly! - seem to be best graders at grading cards, which is, you know, the most important thing that we consider when we grade cards. I would contribute to the crack and resubmit experiment club.
Chris here - have you tried to crack the new PSA slabs?? It’s nearly impossible.
I have about 20 on my desk, mostly vintage, that I disagree with the grades on. I have never cracked one myself. I have seen videos and it does not look too difficult but deciding which one to do it to first is a little worrisome. One of the you tube commenters said to freeze them before you try to crack them but not sure how accurate that info is
@@Goobastank we tried that with the new slabs and I don’t think it helped much. Just made us worry about the cards more.
How recently were your cards slabbed?
In the last three months
Scott. Do you still have your store? Haven’t heard you talk about it at all in general

😂 these muppets sitting around with fake stories in front of post modern cards 😂 Hahahaha
Chris here - I wish my story was fake.
It makes it more liquid???
Meaning once graded (9,10) it can be more quickly and easily transacted at close to market value
Yes, much easier to buy a card from across the country if it's in a slab vs. being raw and not getting to hold it in hand.
Yep, what they said. Sales prices for slabbed cards are easier to track than raw cards with varying conditions.
Can someone explain to me how running up POP counts is good for the hobby?
Yeah, do u guys report the old labels for removal?
